Everyone here is good at code, I'm working with a close friend on a new game that far exceeds my coding skills, and we're using a tile-based map. Its a fairly large map as I made a rough sketch (image found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/742476/ ) and I just need a good area to work with for the map. (like area I'm working with its 2D top down at an angle. Like Pokemon Red/Blue on gameboy.)
So you want a tile scrolling engine?
no, Hax has that covered. we just need to know what a good boundary would be size wise bc we can't decide and when I asked him he got angy and then I got angy and we didn't talk for a whole day.

Like, how big of a map should I make
you should probably make the map and then use that as a size
Hold on you aren't on break?
please be constructive and on topic

it really depends, are most of the major features done yet? if not, worry about the map later, make a small test area first and fully flesh out the game, plans change, A LOT, if you are finished, depends on what you want your game to feel like, for an open world you would likely need a map larger than 1000x1000, really, it depends

stop quoting me, i didnt say any of this!

i recommended that you do not try to go too big or else this will drain every part of your soul (speaking from experience, it is good to take a break from scratch for big scratch projects as scratch and making scratch projects is to hard to juggle)

4. Very top
5. All the ones on the right (these face a different direction)
Taken just have a different time zone and can't start until tomorrow.
Just wondering how this is coming.
Uhh what exactly is wonky, It looks alright to me.

When the people knock on the doors, it's supposed to take under a second for the people to come out. The latter people to come out of the houses are really delayed.

I went on here, saw the latest post as n-clue talking about the banner, and went off the page.
My messages told me a new post was “20 seconds ago”, and I saw the post above this.
