Quote from the AA wiki's Apollo page: He claims to be good with astrology and hula hoops, and used to watch a certain science-fiction show, which he was reminded of when Trucy used the phrase “bigger on the inside than on the outside” to describe her top hat.

I love how we're deducing canon quotes and stuff just to find out whether or not Apollo is a Whovian-

You? Nibelheim!! Me? G O N G A G A ! !

I'm a Final Fantasy and Ace Attorney fan, though I've never played FF for myself.
Call me a geek or a weeb, whatever. Because I'm proud of it.
Transformers especially I've looked at the Wiki so many times, I'll get into the entire lore, yes… I'm that person.

I'm told I'm very good at recreating characters from my fandoms (which I'm kind of closed off from…)
Anyhoo, here are some of my best models.

Iris as a dove and Dahlia as some kind of carrion bird maybe?
Larry would probably be some kind of scruffy dog, probably mongrel
Edgeworth I think of as a sassy house cat who really just wants some love and attention and also keeps attracting random dogs who try to make friends with him FOR THIS REASON I think Phoenix is a really friendly collie or something idk
Maybe it's just his hair or something, but I think Blackquill is a badger
Apollo is a horned owl
The judge is an elephant
A deer or an antelope or something like that for Mia?

I'll add more when I think of them…

Upcoming “Essay” to your forum:

Why Klavier Gavin Should Be the First Ace Attorney Character to Get Some Dang Therapy
Hi, welcome to a super, informal essay.
I've actually wanted to “write an essay” about Klavier for a bit, since this conversation resurfaced in my memory. So here I am, ready to type a storm about why Klavier Gavin needs a therapist the most out of all the Ace Attorney Characters.
Before we start, this is obviously going to have Major Spoilers for AJ/AA4 and Minor Spoilers/Mentions for DD/AA5. For the best understanding, hopefully, you've played all of AJ. If you have not, then this is your warning. DD will also be mentioned, but considering Klavier only makes a slight appearance in Turnabout Academy, you could probably understand this without playing the game. Just thought that was worth mentioning.
All of this essay will be marked as spoilers since I will be spitting out events from AJ (and DD) very casually.
Let's go to my first point:

1. He's been manipulated (presumably) multiple times
I don't need to explain all of Kristoph's character here, assuming you've played the game yourself and understood what happened.
Klavier disbarred Wright, due to being manipulated by his brother, Kristoph. Not to mention this manipulation went on for likely numerous (let's guess about 7) years, considering Klavier had no idea that his brother didn't actually have good intentions. He trusted Kristoph when Kristoph told him that Wright had faulty evidence. He didn't know that Kristoph had planted the evidence. All Klavier knew was that Wright had the evidence, somehow Kristoph knew, and did what Kristoph told him.
It ended up ruining Phoenix's life and basically triggering most of the events in the Dark Age of Law. (It is also implied that the Dark Age of Law gradually started-ish in a flashback case in AAI2, but my point still stands) People couldn't trust prosecutors OR defense attorneys now. And it all went downhill from there…
His friend, Daryan, also used him too. He used him to smuggle a cocoon (which, was illegal to have in the US/Japanifornia), commit murder on a man, and Klavier didn't know a gosh darn thing.
This manipulation may have always been there from both of them, but there's no evidence of it. These are simply the events of AJ.

2. People he, prior to the events of AJ, surrounded himself with ended up being… murderers
This point is based more around Daryan, but it goes with Kristoph too.
First, it was his brother being convicted of the murder of Shadi. Then ends up, his bandmate, a longtime friend, who's also in some part of the law, gets arrested for murder. Then his brother gets convicted of murder again
So now, the people who he did trust, are arrested and he can no longer trust.

3. (A lot of) Other people in the series do not like him.
This is a long one. But I'll try and condense it. We're putting all ships and headcanons aside for this one. Just brutal honesty for this guy.
Ema never liked Klavier. She dreaded working with him. We see this in Turnabout Corner, when she mentions she can't stand his personality. This attitude of hers also maybe because she didn't qualify to be a forensics scientist at the time, but her dismay towards Klavier remains roughly the same.
Apollo also never (really) liked Klavier. Let's be honest, at most Apollo tolerated him. We see this in the trials, with him swearing to "wipe smile off face" and get a slight hint of the same tone in DD, with the tone of dialogue. With all facts considered, this could also just be a normal defense attorney and prosecutor relationship, but Klavier treats Apollo a bit better than Apollo treats him. (Klavier literally lets Apollo proves his point, or even proves it with him. Give this man some props for just wanting the truth…)
Don't even get me started with Daryan and Kristoph.
Kristoph used Klavier to disbar Phoenix and kept using him so he could continue keeping track of his plan (which also involved murder).
Daryan also used him to commit crimes, such as smuggling in that cocoon. If it wasn't for Klavier's status and getting mail shipping that goes through customs, Daryan wouldn't have been able to do this. Not to mention he also murdered somebody and used Klavier for an alibi.
If it wasn't for Apollo revealing Kristoph and Daryan's secrets, Daryan and Kristoph would have gotten away with at least murder.
The only characters who actually like him in the series are Trucy, Athena, Juniper, and Juniper's classmates. Trucy becomes a fan of him, as seen in Turnabout Serenade. We see Athena getting along with Klavier in Turnabout Academy, considering how eager she was to do a mock trial with him. We also see that Juniper liked him enough to costume design and sing on stage with him. The last is more arguable since Klavier didn't get a lot of screen time, nor did her classmates talk about him a lot. All of the characters who do like him are young girls (or a group of teens/adults), which, really isn't helpful for him when we get to my last point.
We also have to consider that we don't know a lot of characters' opinions regarding Klavier. He was in two games, three including his cameo and DLC in SOJ, so we don't have a lot of evidence here. We don't know about Phoenix's, Edgeworth's, Sahdamachi's, Blackquill's, Payne's, and so many other opinions. For all we know, Phoenix could still be mad at him. Edgeworth may not like his attitude/personality either. Blackquill and Sahdamachi may also only tolerate him.
We don't know.

4. Klavier doesn't have a support system.
My point here plays in with the last two.
People he's “close” with at work, at least during the events of Apollo Justice, only tolerate him. People who do like them are those usually attracted by his rockstar persona (or if he's lucky, then his prosecuting career, but that wasn't mentioned much in DD).
His brother and his friend are arrested and manipulated him, so they're out of the option.
And we're not sure about other characters' opinions of him. We also don't know the whereabouts of any other family or his parents.
So he has no one.
We're not sure if Klavier could trust Athena enough with his emotions, not to mention Athena isn't licensed to give official therapy sessions. We're also not sure if he'd trust anyone way younger with him with his trauma.
He can't go to his colleagues, since the only tolerated him on the job.
And we're not sure about his relations with his other colleagues such as Edgeworth or Blackquill.
So he has no one to talk to about his trauma and emotions. Unless he got a therapist who would listen to him.

Conclusion
With a lack of a support system and trustable people in his life, along with the events he's had to go through, Klavier Gavin should be the first character to get a therapist. The people he trusted for likely numerous years of his life ended up being murderers and others in his life either only tolerate him, only like him for the rockstar personality of his prosecuting career, or we don't know their opinion.
Klavier is traumatized and he should have not been brushed over in Dual Destinies. With everything he's gone through, he should get a therapist the most out of all of the Ace Attorney characters; since that would be literally the only person to him, outside of headcanons, who would listen to him. Klavier Gavin should be the first Ace Attorney character to get some dang therapy, because of the people who have entered and left his life were people who, at worst, used him to get away with many crimes, and at minimum, just tolerated him to do their job, unless they were of a certain group. He has no canon support system, and a therapist would probably benefit him heavily.

Your honor, I rest my case.
If you'd like to add on to what I have here, please do so. I intend these amazing, glorious, totally not time wasting, essays for us to talk about.
Oh, and if you have screenshots of events I talk about, feel free to share them here too… it already took me enough time to remember and semi-re-research the events…

Other Upcoming “Essays”:
- Turnabout Eeveelutions
- Why I Think We Won't Get AA7 / Why I Think There's Not Going to be an AA7
And honestly, I'm probably going to write more “essays” in the format of “Why {Character} Should Get a Dang Therapist”. Because it's interesting to look into a character's backstory deeper (or at least more clearly) than the games do.

I've had my account for about 4 years now, and, yeah, I've used the forums (and still do). This is actually where I met my online best friend of about 4 years, @CattyCodes!
I suggest you hang out on the forums if you aren't already. You might make a friend here! Or- You'll at least get to nerd out or help someone!
You're most likely to find me in the Ace Attorney forum, writing an informal essay about why a character needs some therapy. Or perhaps giving my support for an idea in the Suggestions forum. Or if you're lucky outside of the forums, I've animated something or maybe did a cover of a song with a friend. All in all, I'm here to help and have a bit of fun (and perhaps debate something while at it).

Wow… Reading this really made me feel bad for him… And reminded me why he's my favorite character. Thanks for taking the time to write it all though.
Another point you forgot is how Klavier was close to Professor Courte in high school until she ended up dying. :( It must've taken a toll on him at the time.

If there ever is an AA7 (I'm looking forward to your essay on why you think there might not be.) I really feel like Athena and Klavier could be good friends and she could spend the entire game giving him therapy using the mood matrix to uncover all his trauma- lol
Plus it's proven,
she's seen a glimpse already…

One more thing, I specifically remember Beanix telling Apollo that Klavier is a good guy, he truly only cares about finding the truth, it wasn't his fault he got Feenie disbarred, etc. (But I never took a screenshot.) But yeah, at least we know Phoenix canonically doesn't dislike him.
