Rosemary
After all the girls arrived, Adeline brought us to our dorms. Then, she gave us our uniforms. They look exactly like hers, pale yellow with a white-grey collar, and the Dreamshire Logo on the left side.

Lilith and I were super excited to see the dorms though, so we didn’t pay much attention to the uniforms. When we walked into the dorms we were amazed! On each side of the white-walled room, there was a pale yellow canopy bed, with a white-wood nightstand. I set a picture of my mom and I down on the stand and kept looking around! In the middle of the room there were two light wood desks paired with a sky blue swivel chair. In between the desks there was a shelf, the same color as the desks. On the shelves there were some pink and blue plants that I’m guessing have something to do with dreams. Also, there were some books about dreams that were probably for studying. In the corner there were 2 closets. Inside, we put our uniforms. There were some extra clothes and dresses inside. On my side, there was a bathroom. It had gray marbled brick walls, and a shower in the corner. It had beautiful quartz counters that matched the floor. There was a small shelf on each side where we put our stuff .

Lilith and I were trying to find out what the mysterious magical hut was when we heard a knock on the door. “Girls? Get into your uniform! It’s time to pick out your floof!”, Adeline said. Lilith and I completely forgot about the floofs! “Coming!”, we both answered excitedly. When we finished dressing we left the room. Adeline was waiting for us. “C’mon girls, we don’t want to be late!”, she commented.

Adeline brought to a field near the magical hut. Lots of boys and girls were already there. Some people were wearing yellow uniforms like us, but others had different colored uniforms. “May I have your attention, ladies and gentlemen. Today is the picking of the Floofs! You are all sorted by your age level. Yellow is the 11-12 year olds, green is the 12-13 year olds, blue is the 13-14 year olds, and so on. Your dorm masters will also have the same color uniform as you. You will all pick Floofs in age order. Now let the fun begin!”, Headmaster Kenna declared.

“Come Yellows! We’re first!”, Adeline said. A group of probably 40 children came. “Dorm masters, please bring your group to the fields'', Headmaster Kendra announced. “Dorms 1-5, come to me!”, Adeline said. Lilith and I walked to the field with Adeline and the others.

“Just go ahead and play with the Floofs and pick out which one you like.”, Adeline added. We went into the field to see the Floofs. They were so cute!

One of them jumped over to Lilith and licked her. The floof was mint-green with chocolate-brown eyes and brown specks. He was perfect for Lilith! “I want this one!” claimed Lilith.

I kept looking for one that matched me. I spotted something curled up in the corner. I slowly walked up to it, sat down, and started petting it. It woke up and curled onto my lap. I then knew she was the one for me.

“Aww! She’s so cute. She is definitely for you Rosemary!”, praised Lilith. She really was. She was a ketchup color with dark green eyes. “I think I want her!”, I gushed.

Adeline asked,”What are you going to name them?”. “Minty of course”, proclaimed Lilith. “I think I’ll name her Peppermint, Pepper for short”, I replied. “Perfect! Why don’t you guys bring them to your dorm to cool off for today? Tomorrow we’ll start class.”, remarked Adeline.

(holy crepes my Grammarly word checker is going crazy, but I'm not going to list all the things it says is wrong with the text- maybe you could get Grammarly? not saying your writing is bad, just saying-) other than that, I love this story soooooooooooo much! keep it up!

Today is the first day. Not the first day of school of course, but the first day of real classes. Rosemary and I walked over to the school. It wasn’t really as menacing as you would think a huge castle would be, but it did have some tense effect to it, like it was holding a huge secret. Rosemary seemed to feel it too.

“C’mon girls! You don’t want to be late!” announced Adeline. We ran towards the school, making sure we weren't late on the first day.

When we walked into our classroom, there were about ten other kids. A woman with bright pink hair and black glasses looked up at us.

“You must be Lilith and Rosemary! Go ahead and take a seat at your assigned spot.” she said.

I only recognized two other kids. Soluna Lumevine, who had cosmic purple eyes and blue-grey hair, was in the same dorm as me, and Fredrick Murphy, who had auburn hair and was my old neighbor.

I had to sit next to a boy with pearlescent grey eyes and silky black hair. Rosemary was sitting next to Fredrick and a girl with hazel eyes and blond double-buns.

I could never pull that off, she thought.

“Good morning class! I am your teacher Miss Bonnie, and I’ll be teaching Basic Dream Catching to you all. Now, we first need everyone to introduce themselves because it’s our first day. Say your name and one thing about you. I’ll go first. My name is Miss Bonnie and my floof is named Tootsie.”, Miss Bonnie announced.

After a few kids had gone, the girl next to Rosemary spoke. “Hi there! My name is Meg Barnes and I love skiing!” Lilith had never liked skiing but she just nodded.

Rosemary stuttered, “I-uh um- M-my name is Rosemary and I-uh like um ice cream.” Poor Rosemary, she was still warming up to the idea of boarding school, Lilith thought.

Frederick loudly spoke, “I’m Frederick and I can ride a unicycle!”

“Showoff” Lilith muttered. A few kids later it was Soluna’s turn.

“Hello! I’m Soluna but you can call me Lulu! I love space and planets!” declared Lulu.

When it was Lilith’s turn, she said she wished she could own a dragon. Several kids nodded in agreement, including the boy next to her. Then it was the boy’s turn.

“My name is Elliot and I love sheeps.” he said shyly.

After the rest of the kids had gone, Miss Bonnie began to talk.

“Wonderful! Now we can start the class!” She gave them each 5 textbooks. “Please flip to page 5 of the book Catching and Extracting Dreams for New Dreamers. Now we’ll read together and discuss later.” Miss Bonnie announced. They all started to read.

Catching and Extracting Dreams
WARNING! IF YOU AREN’T CAUTIOUS THE SLEEPER WILL GET A NIGHTMARE!
-Tools include:
A storage briefcase (the one with the compartments), empty bottles, bottles full of selected dreams, bottles of herbs and spices, dream mixing books, information packets, a bowl and spoon, and your extracting funnel.

-Preparation:
Store the empty bottles along the top row of the case. On the next two rows store the filled bottles. On the slot-like compartment, put the books and packets in. Along the other side, there is a net-like bag. Put the spoon and funnel in the bag, and the bowl in the big square compartment.

-Catching and Extracting
View the information about the sleeper on the packets. Pick the best dream for the sleeper (see page 9). Take out the dream, herb and spice, and bowl, and make the dream (see page 12). Pour half of the newly mixed dream into an empty bottle. Take the funnel and gently put it in the sleeper’s ear. Wait for the lip of the funnel to accommodate to it’s new ear. Then, pour the dream slowly into their ear. Press the silver button (see page 20) on the jar and watch the jar fade. Pack up and quietly leave.

-Clean up
Use the tape corresponding to your age level (Ex. Year One is pale yellow) and stick it on the jar. Write the name of the dream on the bottle. There will be cubbies with names along the wall. Put the jar in the cubby with your name on it. Wash your hands for 1 minute. When you are done bring the rest of your supplies to the dorms unless told otherwise.

When the class finished the article, Lilith was excited to start transferring dreams. Unfortunately, they weren’t allowed to transfer on real people until Year 3.

Miss Bonnie began to talk. “Wonderful! Now, we will discuss more in the next class. For your homework, I would like you to fill out this sheet. You will need to bring those textbooks to your dorm and you’ll need the one titled Dream Mixing. Now, I’ll see you tomorrow!”

Author's Note: She really loves to say “Wonderful!”
