Please note that I may sometimes make a mistake and give wrong information.

Can you please put this at/near the top of your signature and tell people that tag spam isn't allowed and it manipulates the algorithm, to start a chain and spread the word? - Thanks, @EDawg2011.

But then I had a very good idea. I used F5. See, using F5 gave me a whole new perspective and I was able to see a chest I couldn't have seen before.

With the current custom block system doing this is impossible, adding this would require them to rewrite custom blocks from the ground up

There are a few issues with this. How to handle sprite variables in the custom block, which sprite actually runs the code, and whether this will hurt sprite modularity by making sprites depend on code in other sprites.

The best solution may be broadcasts with arguments similar to this:

when I receive [message v] with (a :: custom-arg) (b :: custom-arg) (c :: custom-arg) (- :: lists) (+ :: operators) :: hat events
...

broadcast [message v] with a [] b [] c [] :: events

Yes, I totally agree with you. The one thing that Scratch needs the most is custom blocks for ALL sprites! Making Scratch modules would be so much easier to manage, change, and update. I'd say this is definitely the most important feature to add to Scratch right now.

semi support; often in my more complicated projects i use up to 20+ custom blocks per sprite, so this would clutter up my other sprites and make he have over 30-40 custom blocks at some times in sprites, but if this was a togglable option, like run without screen refresh, i would definitely use this.
also this is kinda like private/public functions in java, and each sprite would kinda be like a class lol
