Well, that already exists in a way. Mobile forums. Tho they're an eyesore in themselves. however, if you use them, even on mobile, stop it, stop it now.

Ugh I've seen the mobile forums and I don't like what I see. Anyways yeah I don't want dark mode forums because then it doesn't feel as lively

I think it's because of concern. This may or may not be the reason why they are discussing it, if they are at all, but here's what @Za-Chary* said in The Forum Helpers studio days ago:

I mean, yeah, dark themes are cool. But the argument I don't like about dark theme supporters is when they say stuff like “Scratch hurts my eyes when it's 3:00am in my pitch black room and I've already been staring at the computer screen for 6 hours straight.” Like… dark mode or not, that's an unhealthy idea.

Aaaaaaaaaa….support. High contrast dosnet work well for me so a calming dark mode would really satisfy.

I have been active on this topic for quite a while, and I'm not sure whether I have posted a support message here before. Anyways, if not, here it is:

I would like a dark theme as my eyes hurt when I've just gone from using dark theme on every other website to Scratch, a website with an extraordinarily bright colour pallet. I always have to turn my brightness down significantly from what I like when using Scratch.

If you did not notice, this topic exists because of Scratch's bright colour theme. It seems to me like you are trying to invalidate every opinion on this topic, and that's not the kind of input that the forum needs.
