Even the other one installed apps..When I tried to install kde earlier, I ran “sudo dnf install @kde-desktop” and it worked but it installed a lot of extra tools with it.
Now I am searching and apparently “sudo dnf install @kde-desktop-environment” does what I wanted in the first place. Why is this? Shouldn't there be a clear difference?
the difference is fairly clear, but probably only to advanced users (who are probably the main group of people trying this). the kde desktop is kde and all of the desktop features/apps it comes with; the full package. it’s what you’d get if you installed a kde distro. the kde desktop environment is just the kde environment itself with no added packages.
I have no idea then
what apps did it install?

Is fedora 38 stable? I want to use wayland for sddm and also faster shutdown times. But I don't know if upgrading is worth it yet.

Well it's released, and I'd say an OS as widely used as fedora has probably had enough testing. If I were you I wouldn't be worried about upgrading. Is fedora 38 stable? I want to use wayland for sddm and also faster shutdown times. But I don't know if upgrading is worth it yet.

If the older version isn't in the repos it's probably in the aur.
