You need to remove the other desktop environment
I removed KDE. But now I removed KDE and in my GNOME settings app, the icon next to “Wi-Fi” and the icon next to “Privacy” and the icon next to “Device Security” are all gone!!! They are just a triangle with a exclamation mark in the middle and a fold on the bottom right. Is this normal??
You've don't something horribly wrong when uninstalling KDE. Try reinstalling GNOME. I'm unsure what distro you are using.
I am using fedora 6.1.7
Is reinstalling gnome like
sudo dnf reinstall gnome-shell
because I tried that and now the icons changed but I also installed some papirus icon theme trying to fix it so ok
These icons make me feel I am using chromeOS and that is a good thing

The latest one, 37 I think
But it's fixed now. If I change the icons in GNOME Tweaks to Hicolor or something like that, the issue comes back. I changed it to Adwaita and everything works now. I am so sorry that I keep on asking you questions.
When I tried to install kde earlier, I ran “sudo dnf install @kde-desktop” and it worked but it installed a lot of extra tools with it.
Now I am searching and apparently “sudo dnf install @kde-desktop-environment” does what I wanted in the first place. Why is this? Shouldn't there be a clear difference?
Even though there a few problems I am enjoying this and I am 99% sure in the coming days windows will be gone from my Surface.

Edit: KDE is it too much to ask? I just want to use my gnome apps, which I know work, and not kde konsole or those things… Otherwise I will have duplicate stuff. Or you can tell me how to get rid of gnome stuff
Edit 2: Wait.. if I want to get a nice install, do I literally have to get rid of all of those apps manually?

I know but I already dual booted with windows and I don't want to mess up the bootloader or anything by reinstalling Either I remove windows, remove fedora, or reinstall without windows I decided

A really low-end laptop.
More specifically, see the host on neofetch. You can assume the brand by the hostname.

I think that my fedora 37 is in BTRFS file system. How do I extend the BTRFS system? I want to partition a bit more space for Fedora and take some away from Windows. In the GNOME Disks or the KDE equivalent I cannot extend or shrink the BTRFS partition but I can extend the NTFS (Windows) one. Will I have to do a complete reinstallation?

Edit: The parition with Fedora on it is on the right, so I can't extend it easily in the GUI apps. If I just make another partition and use it as my /home or data partition, will it be fine? Should I use ext4 or btrfs or another file system in the data partition?

I had a similar probelm last year where I deleted the Windows partition but couldn't recliam the unallocated space. I fixed it by using GParted in the live environment.

If you just installed one package that pulled everything else removing it should have removed all the KDE componants, but I haven't been using Fedora that long so maybe it works diffrently.

Fedora 6.1.7 was released in 2006. Why aren't you using Fedora 37? Do you like old distros?

I need to install chrome on my computer because of the school so I wanted to get the flatpak version. I got it from flathub but after 1 minute the window just closes with no explanation at all. How do I fix without installing the rpm?

are you running under Wayland? if so you might need to use Wayland as the Ozone platform.
google-chrome --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland
should do the trick, or I think(?) there's a flag.

the difference is fairly clear, but probably only to advanced users (who are probably the main group of people trying this). the kde desktop is kde and all of the desktop features/apps it comes with; the full package. it’s what you’d get if you installed a kde distro. the kde desktop environment is just the kde environment itself with no added packages.
