Well, he owned the company, but did he “work for” it?Uhhhh that's not true at all.Notch didn't work on Minecraft anyway. I WANT NOTCH BACK!
I HOPE MICROSOFT DOES NOT ADD ANY SCARIER MOBS!!!!!
BTW Bill Gates does not work for Microsoft anymore.
(Proof: My brother told me.)
Microsoft doesn't develop Minecraft.
Bill Gates never worked for Microsoft. He was the CEO until he stepped down but he kept most of the company.

Yeah, at least in the beginning he did. Back when Microsoft was new (before Windows), he was pretty much the MVP for the company along with Paul Allen. This is really off topic though.Yes, as proved by Steve Jobs being kicked out of AppleWell, he owned the company, but did he “work for” it?Uhhhh that's not true at all.Notch didn't work on Minecraft anyway. Mojang is now uber-rich, and Microsoft knows to leave that department alone in order not to totally ruin their reputation - the difference is a few Microsoft changes (such as Live integration perhaps?) and their logo on the front.
Why do people keep making a big deal about this?
You both just stole the words from my mouth! :O
Where are the internets when you need them?!
I need one for each of you! And I have NONE. X(

i think people are making a deal about it cuz when rareware, the once high quality company, was bought by microsoft, they have made shallow quality games ever since. and people are worried that mojang is gonna do the same.
but thats mainly cuz most if not all of rareware's employees left when miscrosoft got their hands on the company

Microsoft is going to be the Disney of the computer world soon. I'm pretty sure Minecraft is officially the 3rd best selling video game ever.

It means that Notch (the developer for Minecraft) has sold all rights of the game and future production to Microsoft. Technically, he sold Mojang the company that made Minecraft but Minecraft is really all Mojang is. What does that mean?

YES What I really want is for Minecraft to be the same on all platforms with cloud syncing and cross platform multiplayer.

i preferred it when notch was updating it to be honest, i felt jeb made to many unecessary changes . I'm sorry Microsoft, but you can not own minecraft.
Do you really think of creativity and cross-generation enjoyment when you open MS word?
No.
Good news, though - Jeb is still head developer of minecraft!
