A place to put words blocked by the comment/description filter that shouldn't be. For those who don't know, there is a filter that keeps the site clean, preventing people from using bad language in their descriptions/comments for things such as studios and projects. The filter is a program that looks at comments, studio descriptions, project instructions and so on looking for inappropriate words.

The forum is not affected by this filter, and instead uses a simpler filter, which is why these topics can exist, and why we don't need to go on the contact us page and send a message about it.

Edit: Due to a recent necropost, I'm just editing this to clarify that not just words go here, but any issues with the bad word filter.

Bear in mind that some words can't be fixed - because they might have multiple meanings- but this is a good idea as I can follow this topic and I'll get a message when there is a filter issue.

It somehow thinks there's something wrong here:

V1.1.8 - Replaced shield item with fortress (same effect for defender)
-Reduced star speed boost speed slightly (1.15->1.1)
-Reduced star speed boost power cost (3->2)
-Reduced star warp power cost (30->25)
-Increased star warp distance (8.5->8.75)
-Increased star emergency recovery ticks (1->2.5)
-Reduced star emergency recovery power cost (1->0.5)
-Increased star stealth size reduction (2->4)
V1.1.7 - Nerfed shield generation speed of shield generator
-Shield generator no longer increases HP regen
-Moved defender center of rotation further back

I don't think 8.75 is bad, does scratch filter not like certain decimals?

Yeah, I have a big problem. On my profile, all I wrote was: “Online (X) Offline ()” and it said there was a bad word in it, and it wouldn't let me write it down. Made me so mad! About maybe a year earlier, I was blocked for a day for saying: “yeah! girls rock!” or something. Please do something about it!!

If you change the line to this

-Increased star warp distance (8.5 to 8.75)

it works okay. For some reason, the close proximity of digits and the hyphen are being taken for a spammers phone number

I think it's been fixed but for a while the elevator brand/electronics company Mitsubishi was filtered.

So I was trying to post a grade for something like this:

Though I beleive the Phone # detector took it as a phone #

It tells me I posted “” 3 times, yet that wasnt in like the last 12 hours.

I made a save system that uses co-ords numbers like “-144 -113 -91 -70 -84 -59 -38 -43 -67 -28 5 -83 -83 -43 -43 -65 -65 -20 -20 26” but when testing it, it sets the bad word detector off making my save system pretty much useless, any chance you can mark co-ords as none bad language?

Try to encode the numbers or save codes some other way. If it's simply a list of coordinates, someone could easily cheat or break your project.

Yeah. I have had the filter flip on a really long drawn out math equation before; perhaps other mathematical symbols, such as radicals, pluses, <> and = and so on should break a number up so that the detector doesn't find it as a phone number?

I'm trying to edit the notes and credits of my project. So, I write “PLEASE SEE:” and I link the project. However, whenever I type it, the top of the page displays the “bad word detected” banner. I assume that it just appeared accidentally, and leave the project page. A few minutes later, I come back to the project I was typing on. Where I wrote “PLEASE SEE:” and I linked the project, the link is gone and the words have been translated to “plea see”. Here are the links to the project I was typing on and the project I was trying to link.

That's probably the “generic” phone filter - the one that blocks commercial prefixes like 1800, rather than the specific one that blocks specific 10-digit numbers with Xs.

I think they should stop filtering generic ones since they interfere so much with typing dates, but I don't know if that's rejected - removing the specific one is.
