I will not be standing for any leadership roles. I am simply not active enough to maintain this and it would be best if someone else took charge.

If I still can, I vote the second option.

As long as you are a former or current member of the USS, you may vote.
May I ask, for verification purposes, how you were affiliated with us?

The vote has been extended to Sunday night, with the next stage beginning on Monday.

I would like to unofficially vote for electing a new leader, if I may. That is, if being a member of SIG-USS and having pending applications for a judge and my shop joining counts in any way

I was the owner of Falconstore, which has since closed down. (Also I believe I did notify you before, but it still seems to be on the current members list.)
I am also an archivist.

First thing we need to do is an activity check. Then a new thread and precautions put in place to allow it to continue being active when the leader is absent. Also an idea from TSF is to have monthly summits discussing ideas in a studio.

Activity Check
Every active member should report and a representative from each shop should say whether a shop is active and/or whether they wish to continue partaking. Please also state how active you will remain. If you no longer wish to be part of this organization please say so. If you don't respond we will assume you are inactive and you will be cut.

Key
Active and I wish to take part frequently
Active but I don't want to take part often

So this may be a bit off-topic, but recently I did some research on the success of various shops and I came up with some interesting data…

It seems that, though they offer relatively the same thing, Everything Shops are much, much more popular than single/dual-speciality shops. So I did some more research, and discovered that most Everything Shops' titles included catchy phrases like “Done withing 48 Hours” or “Everything you could ever need!” while most speciality shops did not.
So in conclusion, try including a slogan in your shop title - it'll attract more customers.
I think it's because everything shops offer everything, but specialty shops only offer one thing.

This is a bit of a random post but related to the post above. I guess that if a scratcher orders once from an everything shop and it all goes well, why risk anywhere else to order when you known that you will probably get a good service at the everything shop (even if you are ordering for a different type of service)? Speciality shops limit themselves to a particular area so are less likely to get orders. A shop's success is related to its popularity and reputation so that may be why speciality shops struggle to compete with massive everything shops which are already very popular.

Back in the days of TSF, we were worried that specialised shops were not doing well. We organised guilds to try and group these shops together and help them but it ultimately failed as the guildmasters were not active enough.
