Idea: a ‘dystopian’ society that’s actually perfectly fine and not a dystopia. A protagonist who thinks like dystopian YA novel protagonists think. Said girl tries to uncover the nonexistent dark truth behind the society. Complete with a love triangle where there’s a popular guy and one who she assumes for some reason that her parents would never want her to date because of the ‘ingrained perceptions’ that she thinks are being broadcasted into them. When the parents find out they’re fine with it. She attempts to prove her theories (they’re using babies to power the city, there’s a big war going on that were sheltered from, etc) but all of them are just the normal solutions. Both guys think she’s getting too obsessed. She can’t understand why they don’t like her inquisitive nature. Ambiguous ending.
