It's been a month and I still can't find the notification for becoming a scratcher instead of new scratcher. Pleaseeeee do something to this or I can't create a studio for my remixes and can't do that much of a thing to cloud projects.

If you didn't find your issue here, you could use my project to see all the common issues I've collected so far. But this topic should at least show the most relevant.


Alright, let's see some of the common issues:

The website is just being slow
The pandemic has caused the website to slow down since 2020. More people are doing things indoors, thus Scratch is being used more. This of course means their servers have more traffic to handle and they may not be able to handle requests quickly at all times. Just try again later, maybe it'll be fine.

You may also want to try the offline editor. It lets you edit your projects without having to connect to Scratch.


Costumes become “gray question marks”
Dubbed the “gray question mark” glitch due to its effect of turning vector costumes into a question mark on a gray box. When any asset fails to load, that's this glitch. If it happens on a costume, you may see it turn into that question mark thing.

While I'm not sure exactly why this happens, you can safely exit a project that you notice this happened in by clicking the My Stuff button.


Scratch freezes every few moments
If this is on a work, school, or monitored device, then your computer admin(s) probably installed a browser extension that continuously scans the page and causes a performance drop when that happens. You may need to let your admin(s) know about this issue so they can figure out how to stop it.


My PFP or thumbnail won't change or turns into the default
This seems to be a common issue related to some server issues. Please review this topic, which is another one of mine, to see all the info about this glitch.


Blocks are very blurry
This issue is most apparent on Chrome and Firefox. It wasn't as major an issue on Edge though. Please review this topic by -medians- for more information on this problem.


My project won't save
This issue has been seen many times across the community.

Maybe one of your assets exceeded the 10 MB limit for individual files. First, check sounds you added before it stopped saving. Try re-importing them or converting them to a different format, or just straight up removing them and trying other sounds.

If that doesn't work, there are some other steps shown in my project.


I'm muted for no reason
Technically, there is always a reason for setting off the filter, but you may not notice what's wrong with your comment or it may have thought that something looked potentially like a problem but was actually okay. No filter is 100% accurate, and so you're able to report these issues here.
