Fairly OddParents and Invader Zim came out the year I was born. Also, it was the first year that DVDs outsold VHS tapes overall, and a lot of home video releases of 90s anime came out.

2002 was a weak year IMO, but I'll list some stuff that I somewhat liked from it:
18 - Moby: More commercialized and not as good as Play, but it had a lot of really great songs on it. The B-sides compilation is disappointing though.
Folk the World Tour - Flight of the Conchords
The Eminem Show - Eminem: Casual Eminem fan.
Greatest Hits - Will Smith
Hey Arnold!: The Movie: I remember this being pretty decent, so might as well list it.
The Powerpuff Girls Movie: I wish I took the opportunity to actually watch this movie so I could list it here for more than I was a fan of the original Powerpuff Girls show at one point.

Maximo: Ghosts to Glory: I had this game on my PS2 as a younger kid and I used to play it. Never bothered to get past the first level.
Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future: I have this and haven't played it yet. I'm just glad that there's another Ecco game.
Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows: this was a weird game

True, those are all pretty notable and good movies (Lilo and Stitch was also released in '02), but I tried to limit myself to stuff that piqued my interest most.
