2009 also had Minecraft, Pokemon Platinum, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Scribblenauts, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, Wolfenstein, Wii Sports Resort, Waking Up by One Republic, and The Fray (the album).

Actually I'm not all that pumped for Sims 4, but that's most likely because I've never played Sims 3, or any other Sims game for that matter. I might check out Sims 4 though.

But Half-Life came out 2-3 years before I was born… and Half-Life 2 was 2004, correct? I was 3 years old then, I didn't even have a computer.

It's good media that came out the exact year you were born, not stuff 2-3 years before or after.

Plus, I can name a bunch from 2001: Monster's Inc, Shrek, Harry Potter 1, etc.
