Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility, so I wanted to write something to acknowledge it. It also happens to be the last day of Bisexual Health Awareness Month, and the last day of this session of SWC.

International Transgender Day of Visibility is just what the name says: a day to shed light on the trans community and is celebrated across the world. There has been a lot of transphobia and discrimination against trans people and the trans community in the past, and it still continues today. Today is a day to recognize, acknowledge, love and cherish our friends of the trans community, and to treat them equally. (By friends, I just mean people belonging to the trans community.) Though, I'd argue that we should be doing this every day, but today is just a day to shed more light on the trans community. As someone who falls under the trans umbrella myself, today is important to me to spread word of this day, so people can fully understand what it actually means to be transgender, and learn that it's not wrong.

In case you don't know what transgender means, I'll of course explain it. Transgender (or trans for short) is a big umbrella term for anyone who's gender does not match their assigned gender at birth. Though, not everyone who falls under the trans umbrella likes the term transgender or trans. Therefore it's not okay to assume that anyone who identifies as something other than the gender assigned at their birth likes to be called transgender. Trans doesn't mean FtM (female to male) or MtF (male to female), though most people think that's what it means. Also, not all trans people have to undergo gender-affirming surgery. That's each person's personal choice if they'd like to have it or not.

I hope that I've broaden your understanding of the word transgender and the trans community. Please share your knowledge with others, for some people do not get taught these things. Thank you for reading this.

As a little extra, I'd just like to acknowledge this last day of Bisexual Health Awareness Month. Being bisexual doesn't mean “attracted to males and females.” It is one of the most broad terms of the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community and it means something different to every bisexual person. It typically means s3xually/physically attracted to 2 or more genders, with or without preference towards some. I said "s3xually/physically", because it is different from biromantic, which means romantically attracted to 2 or more genders, with or without preference towards some.

I hope I've broaden your understand of the words bisexual and biromantic. Again, thanks for reading.

Scratch Writing Camp
Original Screenplay by Cherri

Script:

Over Black… We can hear the sounds of TYPING ON A COMPUTER in the BACKGROUND of a HOUSE. Then comes a gasp and the typing stops, like someone saw something they didn't intend to see. We can then hear the very excited voice of what sounds like a teenage kid…

CAMPER (V.O.)
Clearly very enthusiastic about whatever's going on
It's happening! It's finally happening!

We can hear the sound of footsteps fading out, and the squeak of a chair as someone gets out.
FADE UP ON: An empty chair as a CAMPER can barely be seen, rushing out of the room. Huh. Weird. We zoom in on the abandoned computer screen, still up and running. On it is a Scratch project.

BIRDI
(text)
Welcome to SWC, campers!

The footsteps return, and the squeak of the chair is heard again as the CAMPER plops into it and begins typing a comment. The comment says, “Let's go Scratch Writing Camp!” Zoom in slowly… and cue the opening screen…

Scratch Writing Camp.

Ten days earlier, in February 2022…

BIRDI is hard at work in the MAIN CABIN, working alongside HONEY, KAT, and BAKIE. All of them are dressed in casual attire, apart from Birdi, who is wearing the MYSTERY CABIN's cabin colours, and Honey, who is wearing FAIRY TALE's colours. This has not been revealed yet, however. Birdi sets down a stack of books on a desk and turns to Kat and Bakie.

BIRDI
I'm guessing you guys aren't participating in this session?

Bakie and Kat shake their heads no.

HONEY holds up a small sign with a FISH on it. Where they got it, I don't know.

HONEY
I'm a camper in Fairy Tales. Non Fi-sh from November will always have my support though.

Birdi looks towards the door of the MAIN CABIN. She seems apprehensive about something… oh wait nevermind she turns back to the CO-HOSTS.

BIRDI
Well, we need to hurry! Camp starts in ten days, and we know very well campers are arriving way before that!

She continues to set up the main cabin, all prepared for chaos. Bakie, Kat, and Honey follow suit. Through the window, we can see a fire break out in one of the cabins. Bakie stops what she's doing and looks in the direction of the fire.

BAKIE
Inaudible to her companions
A new session… a new generation of arsonists. Have campers arrived already?

They indeed have. When are they not stalking? We pop over to the cabin on fire, where two CAMPERS are goofing off with a LEADER. They are shouting incoherent things, and then suddenly, the fire goes out. We pop back to Bakie, who's smiling now. Kat has joined her.

KAT
We need to save the fire for cabin destruction. Can't spoil who's an arsonist yet!

Bakie and Kat return to their work, and poof! We have skipped ahead a day! Scenes switch to campers receiving emails about their cabins, and flights arriving to drop off campers. Scene switches to the SWC MANGO AIRPORT, where campers are filing out of planes. A VENDOR is attempting to sell things to the departing campers. LEADERS come by, ready to greet.

VENDOR
Poemgranates! Mangoes!

JADE
Robin, have you seen the Poetry plane yet?

VI and MAC are greeting campers from MYSTERY and HISTORICAL FICTION.

VI
Hey there! Welcome… Mystery campers!

MAC
Hi-Fi! This way! Over here!

ROBIN
Not yet, Jade. I think it's somewhere over there though.

ROBIN gestures towards the west wing of the airport.

VENDOR
Mangoson Family trees! Matches! Gasoline!

LISA
Horror campers! Over here!

FAE
I don't see the Real-Fi plane.

FAE turns to LUKATIE, a little apprehensive about the airport situation.

FAE (CON'T)
Do you know where it is?

Lukatie scouts the area and shakes her head, then gestures towards the west wing.

LUKATIE
It might be over in the west wing with the remaining cabins. Fan-Fi's there too, so let's go!

VENDOR
Shirts! Mugs!

A group of around 20 leaders make their way towards the WEST WING from the EAST WING, where CAMPERS are awaiting further instructions.

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)
Welcome, SWCers! Please wait patiently while your leaders get prepared to greet you. Thank you for waiting, and I hope you enjoyed your flight!

Everyone is bustling with excitement. Soon enough, the gates open, and leaders are calling campers to walk to camp together.

ROBIN
Poetry Epics, this way!

JADE
This way, this way!

FAE
Real-Fi Academy students over here!

LUKATIE
Fan-Fi! Over here! This way!

All of the campers are in their respective cabin groups and are escorted to camp. Scene switches to the Main Cabin that evening, with a very busy Birdi being interrogated by some curious and eager campers.

CAMPER
Hey Birdi!

BIRDI
Hey there!

She's currently occupied by some last-minute sorting, without the company of Kat this time. The campers drag her out of her concentration.

ANOTHER CAMPER
How's sorting going?

BIRDI
It's kinda busy, but it's great!

THIRD CAMPER
Who are all the leaders? I want to get to know them this session!

All the five campers make noises of agreement.

CAMPER
Who are the co-leaders too? There's a lot of people in each cabin!

Birdi stops what she's doing and nods in agreement.

BIRDI
There sure are! How about this: as soon as I finish the sorting, I can direct you guys to a place where you can meet every single one of the leaders. Or… I could tell you now… I'm not super busy after all.

FOURTH CAMPER
Aww! Can't you just tell us now?

FIFTH CAMPER
Yeah! This is my first session, so could you also tell us a bit about SWC in general?

They are very very eager for this.

BIRDI
(laughing)
Well I suppose the hours aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Music starts (oh my gosh). Birdi gets up from her desk and begins dancing around the campers, leading them outside the main cabin and towards the other fifteen.

BIRDI
Welcome to our camp! It's one clearly like no other!
Our session's in March today, but there's July and November!
We're a compartment of friends, and we all support another!

She is seen being verbally affectionate with fellow leaders and hosts.

ENSEMBLE
Woah-oh woah-oh woah-oh

BIRDI
And Scratch Writing Camp,
Well it's of friends and rivalries!
A place you're meant to be,
A place you should probably see!
Fifteen cabins, I know that's like a lot!
But we're determined, and we give everything we got!

We pass some LEADERS who are setting up final preparations for their cabins.

LEADER
(spoken)
Hey Birdi!

BIRDI
So! Scratch Writing Camp is up in another session!
Another month of chaos and memories!
Scratch Writing Camp! It deserves all its mentions,
And may the mangoes give you good luck in between.

She dashes up to the nearest cabin, which just happens to be the leader hangout.

CAMPER
Is this where all the leaders are?

Birdi doesn't hear the camper's question (which has an obvious answer) continues her epic song. (let's goo)

BIRDI
Now let's meet the leaders,
And their epic cos.
Without them well,
Camp is sure to go!

Birdi skedaddles over to a cabin.

TO BE CONTINUED……

Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

fanfi task #4, 698 words total!!

>> Part 1 ☀ Morning (159 words)

I’m decent, I suppose! Everything is a mix of feelings right now. My day at school was going pretty good- I managed to get through my civics presentation and weirdly had a lot of fun in PE. But then I had my science test, which I was freaked out for since our science teacher is…not horrible, but doesn’t always teach in the most effective way. Long story short, I got a 74% on my test, which was crushing. A lot of people in our class got around that too, though, so it did feel good to not be inferior. I’m feeling quite emotional about SWC as well- I’ve had the most marvelous time this session! The campers all had such iconic personalities and were such hard workers- I’m going to miss them a lot <33 I’m working on my thank you notes while I shouuuld be working on my english homework, but hey, all’s fair in love and SWC!

>> Part 2 ☀ Noon (166 words)

Alright, today I am going to be rambling about a vErY interesting day in my orchestra class. This happened last Friday (or was it Thursday?) wait, no, yep, definitely Thursday when my orchestra teacher was absent.

Whenever my orchestra teacher is absent, you always know that the class is not going to end well. It’s one thing if you have a substitute to teach english or history- those are things we all learned in school, and it’s an average teaching environment. Orhcestra, on the other hand, requires knowledge of instruments, sheet music, techniques and so much more. Substitute teachers don’t always have that.

When I walked into the classroom that day, I recognized the sub. He had been a substitute for several of my other classes. He was fairly decent- although he never really did anything. He always sat in the corner of the room and played games/watched movies on his laptops. So when I saw he was subbing for orchestra, I knew we were screwed.

>> Part 3 ☾ Afternoon (238 words)

The sepia coat trailed behind them as they walked.

Fists shoved into deep pockets, they gave a short, sharp nod to the officer in navy, who promptly lifted the flimsy, black-lettered tape blocking off the crime scene.

Making their way between two cars, a short, stout body lay, splayed in unnatural angles. Crimson liquid trickled from the side of their temple. Another figure, much taller and wiry, was leaning against one of the cars, wrapped tightly in a blanket and being comforted by a officer.

One of the forensics at the crime scene, clad in a leather jacket and gloves, stood up from her squat position beside the deceased body and approached the detective. “Detective Sanchez,” she said, flipping her black hair over her shoulder. “Glad you could make it.”

“What are we looking at, Nadir?” Sanchez inquired, gesturing to the scene.

Clearing her throat, Nadir tightened her ponytail and began to debrief them on the case’s events. “A classic car crash,” she began, gesturing to the two partially-destroyed, contorted vehicles behind them. “That one belonged to the victim and his husband,” she said, pointing to the maroon car. Switching her gaze to the frail figure wrapped in the blanket, she continued, “Eyvn Dazon- the victim’s husband survived the crash. He keeps talking about a murder, if you want to talk to him.”

Sanchez nodded. “Thanks for your help. Don’t worry- I’ll get to the bottom of this.”

>> Part 4 ☾ Night (135 words)

As the officer closed the door behind him, Evyn promptly let out a shuddering breath.

The house seemed empty without the presence of his husband. Avery was constantly wrecking havoc and noise, be it with his latest invention or yelling over the phone at his brother.

He missed him.

The sound of his deep, chortling laughter, the light that reflected off of his pearly white smile, the glint in his eyes that never seemed to dull.

Till that fateful car ride.

Evyn had seen the other person in the car. Tall, pale, dark-haired- a rather generic description. But they had been purposefully gaining speed, watching their car with such intent it had spooked Evyn long before the crash, an angry shine in their eyes.

Evyn would find Avery’s murderer. And he would make them pay.

Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

March 2022 Thank-Yous

(before I really start, I'd like to say that I kind of ran out of synonyms and similar words to ‘amazing’ to use in description of all of you and your cabins. So the repeated use of complimentary adjectives should be expected. This does not make the compliments any less genuine, it just means my vocabulary is incredibly insufficient to describe how outstanding each one of you is)

Oh my goodness, this session has been incredible. I've had so much fun being a member of the leader team and the SWC team in general for what is now my third session, and I hope that my campers in the Sci-Fi Spacewreck enjoyed their time. I'll probably be applying again for July, or at the very least I'll be a camper. I hope to see some of you around next session. I wish I could give each and every one of you a full hundred thousand word book on why you are incredible and how grateful I am that I know you, but sadly I don't have the time, energy, or typing skills for something like that, so unfortunately you'll have to settle for this.

Firstly, I'd like to talk a bit about all the incredible work that the various teams put into SWC and show them how much we appreciate them. SWC would not be the same without everyone who pours so much of their time and energy into making every element of camp happen. I'm incredibly in awe of the beauty of every piece of our small digital world, and I'm forever grateful that I've been able to have my small part of contribution toward it.
Hosts and Co-Hosts. I do not understand how it is possible for you to be so phenomenal. You put endless amounts of work into making SWC run smoothly, all while managing personal lives at the same time. And as Scratch keeps changing and different problems arise, SWC still manages to be a largely smooth-running organization and a wonderful place in general. Thank you all so incredibly much for everything you do.
Daily Team. The sheer creativity of you guys is evident in every single daily and they're always so fun. Thank you so much for choosing to spend some of your time in making the dailies and weeklies for our incredible SWC. It's truly fantastic to see all you do.
Memory Book Committee. I've had the privilege of being among you this session and seeing everything that goes into the incredible collaborative creation that is the SWC Memory Book. I know I've probably been annoying to some of you with the problems and misunderstandings that regularly arose because of my lack of access to the canva, so I'd like to apologize for any inconvenience that caused. Unfortunately I don't see that changing for future sessions. Again thank you all for every fantastic thing you've done this session, and I can't wait to see how our work pays off.
Workshop Creators. Every session the workshops surprise me with how amazing they are, and this session was no exception. I really enjoy seeing the different elements of writing SWC-ers find interesting, know a lot about, and choose to help their fellow writers understand a little better. I learned so much form every single workshop this session. Thank you for putting effort into them, it payed off.
Leaders and Co-Leaders. Every single one of you is absolutely fantastic, and the work you've put into your cabins is truly admirable, they're all stunning. All the different themes and storylines are so creative and I'm glad to have been able to participate in a few of them myself. You all are absolute creative geniuses and it's amazing knowing you and seeing everything you do for SWC. Keep being awesome!
Writing Competition Judges, thanks for taking the extra time to read through every one of the sheer number of entries and helping a central part of our great camp continue to function. I can't wait to see which phenomenal writing pieces you found within the mass of entries this time. Thanks for your great contributions to camp.
Now it's time for individual notes. I wish I could be able to give one to every single person who participated in SWC this session but sadly I can't. So these are just going to be for those people who not only made this session of camp as truly incredible as it was, but directly impacted my SWC experience these past few months.
Aria. We both promised at the end of last session to try to get to know each other better, and we're finally doing that! You're such an interesting person and I'm quite enjoying our little two-way interview thing, even if we only have a short period of time we're both awake due to time zones. Also you probably at least doubled my nicknames list, which, even though I hope you never call me any of them xD, was actually rather fun. I hope you enjoy your break from Scratch, and I'll be excited when you return.
Zai. Oh wow, okay. I have no idea where to begin this one. Out of everyone on the leader team, you probably had the largest impact on my experience this session. From that first random talk to the compliment wars we had to match to the others' cabin genre and theme, (in which you undoubtedly had a massive advantage) to every other chaotic and awesome interaction we've had, but especially, and you know what's coming, this one. The chaos-filled Marvel chain that got three hundred replies in ten hours between you, me, Luna, and Jade. That was legit the most fun I've had in all of 2022 thus far, so thanks for making that insanity possible. I hope we can keep up the good chaos for a long time to come. Also, your poetry workshop was absolutely stunning.

Jade. Even though you joined the leader team on the later end, you fit right in immediately and have been incredibly helpful in so many situations ever since. Also, all that adding? How in the world do you have time for it all? It's amazing. All the little rivalries between our cabins and the tons of Marvel references have all been incredible. Honestly the second you posted in the leader forum and I saw you had a Yelena profile picture I knew I'd like you and that we'd become friends. Now look where we are! You've been such an incredible co, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if future sessions have you as a leader.

Luna. Luna, Luna, Luna. If I tried I could write probably five hundred thousand words or more about how incredible you are, how grateful I am to have you as a friend, and how much fun I've had knowing you this past… wow, it's nearly a year now, isn't it? That's insane. Then again there's so much and it's so hard to put everything into words that then again maybe I couldn't. But I have an equivalent of five hundred thousand words of gratitude, platonic love, and complete awe of your genius creativity toward you. Luna, you are awesome. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but your Infinity Stones leader app is the second-most popular of all leader apps on Scratch, not just for SWC, second only to Bakie's from November of 2020. That's awesome, and the sheer brilliance of that application totally deserves it. I'm so grateful to have you as my friend, you've been endlessly supportive and understanding of me through everything and you somehow manage to tolerate the chaoticness that follows me wherever I go. Thanks for everything, my absolutely incredible stunning friend.

Katie. I've loved working with you this session so much. Your ideas are amazing and you've put so much work into everything. Specifically the fiblings roleplay. I'm not sure what the exact status of things will be like when I share these notes, so I'm not going to name specifically what I'm thanking you for, but I'm confident that you know. Thanks so much for doing what you did and trying hard to keep the fibling thing which kind of started to disintegrate as soon as camp started from falling apart entirely. Thank you also for just being such a kind and supportive person and helping remind me on countless occasions that not everything has to go perfectly. I'm glad I know you.

Cami. You're such a great co-leader and such a cool person in general, I've loved working with you this session. You're always there to provide assistance to me whenever I need it, most memorably with the whole mysterious muting thing, but in many other situations as well. You're also just such a bright, kind, and playful person, and every conversation I've had with you has been a joy. Also you're eleven? I was genuinely surprised to find that out. You give off such calm, mature vibes and your writing is as good as something written by a half-decader at it that I had no idea. I hope we can maintain our friendship beyond SWC. Thanks for everything, amazing synesthete.

Eevee. We didn't get to know each other very well, but from the few conversations we did have, you seem like a very cool person. I also had a large amount of fun on the daily we did together, it was really cool to see the similarities and differences in the directions our minds went with the prompt, and I really enjoyed reading your story too, it was quite well-written and interesting. Also thanks for being everyone in SWC's sleep schedule role model.

Stingray. I almost chose you as my co right at the beginning of everything, but something kept me from making that choice. Now I see that the choice I made was the right one. Thriller needed you and you needed Thriller. You handled the sudden switch from camper to co with resilience and maturity, and you've been an incredible addition to the SWC leader team. I'm also incredibly and endlessly grateful to have you as a friend, and all the Star Wars and Marvel chaos we've caused over the past many months has brought me great joy. You're such a fantastic person, can't wait to see where our friendship goes next.

Fenn. Incredible Fenn, thank you so much for everything. It's been incredible to be your friend. I'm sorry all the craziness that happened this session happened, but your resilience the way you pulled through it all is truly admirable, and I'm so, so happy you're back. Thanks again for being such a wonderful human being and I hope our friendship continues to last through whatever comes next.

Stormi. We don't know each other super well, but I've enjoyed evert interaction we've had. Your cabin is great. It's been a pleasure to have my cabin be your cabin's sibling. My real life best friend is in your cabin, and she really enjoyed the session. It's a true compliment when a cabin looks good from both inside and out. Keep up the incredible creativity, and I hope to get to know you better as time continues.
Elle. First of all, thanks for everything you did for the memory book committee this session, especially all the problems that arose around me not being able to access and edit the canva. You gave me so much valuable assistance and answered so many of my questions. And also that WandaVision rant back at the start of cabin planning was very fun. You're such a cool person and I can't wait to get to know you even better.
Daisy. We didn't talk that much this session, but I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations we did have. You're such a bright, energetic person, and your enthusiasm is contagious. You're also insanely creative in an unconventional but really interesting way, it's no wonder you made the leader team team. Thanks for the fun memories, and please keep me updated on your rats.
Mac. I know we haven't talked much since last session except for the collaborative part of the second weekly, which, despite being superbly strange and random, was very fun, so thanks for that. You're an awesome person and your writing is great. I hope to talk with you more in the future!

Arli. Amazing former member of the Thriller Detective Agency, absolutely fantastic co-leader, wonderful online friend of endless hamilfan rants, I'm very glad I know you. Thanks for everything, and I hope to get to know you better as time goes on.

The rest of the phenomenal leader team, sadly I wasn't able to get to know as many of you as I'd hoped, but I've seen your cabins and I've seen you at work throughout the various parts of camp. You're all amazing people and you did a great job making this session what it was. I hope I can get to know a lot of you over the course of the future.
Celes. You're such an amazing friend and person and I'm so glad you were in my cabin this session. I've had so much fun knowing you these past many months through all our incredible adventures, and I was so excited when I saw your name on Sci-Fi's camper lists. Thank you so much for everything you've done for our cabin and our friendship. You are phenomenal.

Crim and Vi. You are both incredibly amazing people and I've enjoyed every interaction I've had with you, both in SWC and out. I'm sorry you have to share a note, but I realized I was pretty much saying the same things to you and that seemed weirder lol. You both are fantastic artists and writers and it's always really fun to talk to fellow Star Wars fans! Considering I was the one who convinced you to join SWC again, I hope you enjoyed it, I had an amazing time with you in my cabin, and I hope to get to know you both better still.

Fin. Is it just me, or is it really strange that we've ended up in the same cabin as one another for three sessions in a row now? Either way, getting to know you and interacting with you in Real-Fi, Thriller, and now Sci-Fi has all been incredible. And each time you were valuable for Cabin Wars, so thanks for that too. Somehow despite all that, and our synesthesia conversations, we still don't know each other very well and I'd like to change that. Hope to see you around next session! (Also if you're interested I think you'd be amazing as a (co)leader by the way)

Nicole. I never said this but I've actually seen you around and looked at your projects for several years now, even before I was on this account, but for some reason I never followed you or said anything. I'm glad I eventually did though, and I've greatly enjoyed having you in my cabin these past few sessions. I've also enjoyed our random conversations about synesthestia, and our ongoing roleplay is ridiculously fun. Thanks for all your invaluable help during cabin wars, and thanks for just being an incredible person in general.

The rest of my amazing campers, I unfortunately didn't get to interact with you too much this session, but I've seen you around and had brief conversations and read your phenomenal writing. You're all amazing. Thanks so much to each of you for being my campers this session, writing your hearts out and making my second session as a cabin leader absolutely wonderful. I hope to see you around in future sessions and elsewhere on Scratch.

And finally we're here, to the section dedicated to my infinitely phenomenal cos. Each of you have absolutely stunned me every step of the way.
Hop. I've had so much fun with you as my co-leader and friend. You're an absolutely amazing human being and you've been so helpful throughout every element of the session. Thank you so much for everything you did to make Sci-Fi what it was, and thanks for how much of that was done right at the beginning when offers had complications and it was just you and me. You were stunning, the whole way through. Thank you for being such a supportive, creative, soul. Thanks for writing so much throughout camp and for being there for everyone, always. Also you're just such a fantastic person to have as a friend and I've enjoyed our many chaotic convos about Hamilton, Stucky, Synesthesia, everything. Excited to see where our friendship goes next!
Waterfall. Before I begin thanking you for everything you did for Sci-Fi and me this session, I need to, as a responsible leader and your Scratch older sister, on behalf of everyone in Sci-Fi as well as Eevee, yell at you to SLEEP. Okay, now that that's out of the way, I'm going to be a hypocrite. Thank you so much for everything you did toward Cabin Wars both times, all you contributed to as far as Sci-Fi's storyline, your efforts to combat inactivity, and your endless support of everyone in our amazing community of a cabin. You're such a fantastic person, co, and friend, and I can't wait to continue to work with you on whatever comes next. Also amazing job on Sci-Fi's pfps, every single one looks truly amazing.
Sai. As soon as we agreed to have a third co, I suggested you. And immediately both Hop and Waterfall were like ‘oh Sai, yeah, she’s awesome'. And you are. It's been such a wonderful experience having you as my co-leader for two sessions now. And how are you so outstandingly creative but also down-to-earth and logical at the same time? However that is, you've been invaluable in making sense of cabin storylines twice now, so thank you so much. Thank you for all your contributions to the cabin, straight from the beginning to the end. You're a phenomenal co and a fantastic friend. I'm so grateful to you.

Sort of random extra note here for Nicole, Hop, Fin, Cami, Cettie, and Cara; for some reason, before December, I had never interacted with a fellow synesthete about synesthesia, or even really wondered if I could possibly know any. But suddenly, you guys just started appearing everywhere. It's been a lot of fun to talk to people about it and have you understand what I mean, so thanks for that <3.

Also Alba, this is pretty much totally random, but I felt like I should record and remember the ‘Alba is one incredible plant’ thing somewhere, so here we are. I still don't know you very well, but from the few interactions we've had I can tell you're awesome. Thanks for everything you've done for SWC.

To finish this off, I'd like to just give an offer of support, friendship, feedback and critique on writing, random chatting, fandom fanatic comment chains, and roleplaying to anyone and everyone in SWC. This offer is infinite and can be redeemed at any time. My profile is always open.

Platonic love to all of you,
Soki

Also for anyone wondering yes my out of context leader forum project is coming soon

artifact outside of our camp. Well, we weren’t sure that it was an artifact, but the Professor told us when he caught us later.

“Don’t think that getting this artifact will mean that you’re Indiana Jones,” he said with annoyance when he took the scepter from us. He was obviously disgruntled because we didn’t report the artifact to him. We were merely on an expedition to collect some natural specimens; we’re not anthropologists or archaeologists! Not Indiana Jones, if we wanted to use the argument against him. So why did he have the right to confiscate the artifact from us?

But of course, he still did, and because I was sort of at the head of this business, I was the one to be punished the most severely.

“Now, you see, you’ll have to adjust the strap like so,” the Professor instructed, bushy gray mustache twitching as he talked. I grumpily fiddled with the landing gear. His substitute for a parachute didn’t exactly seem safe.

“I don’t suppose you have a contingency plan for what happens if we die, do you?” the girl beside me whispered, her dark eyes twinkling with sarcasm.

I snorted, shaking my head at Anika. My best friend tended to be rather sarcastic- but she was brutally honest as well.

“We’ll be fine,” I reassured her, not believing it myself. I peered over the cliffside, gazing at the lush landscape that lay hundreds of feet below us. From up here, the emerald tree canopies looked soft and welcoming- I’m sure they were much more prickly up close.

“Just hold on and don’t let go, and we should be there before we know it,” I said. “Then collect a few specimens, snap four or five photos, jot down a page of notes and we’ll be on our way back home!”

Anika sighed irritably, blowing a strand of black hair out of her face. “Fine. But if we die, you’re out of the will.”

“Hurry up, you two!” The Professor called from his spot on the cliffside, staring at us with crossed arms.

When we had finished buckling our straps, Anika and I looked toward the Professor.

“Who’s first?” Anika called teasingly.

The Professor nodded to me, his mustache curling. “Since it was your bright idea to hide the artifact from me.”

I let out a grumble under my breath. It had been Anika’s idea, but I wasn’t about to tell the Professor that. Instead, I drew closer to the edge, peering out hesitantly.

The leafy surface loomed hundreds of feet below. I wasn’t afraid of heights—you couldn’t afford to be, in this job—but that drop was enough to send anyone screaming for the hills.

“Break a leg!” Anika offered cheerfully. I noticed she was in a much better mood now that she didn’t have to go first.

“Get a move on,” the Professor told me gruffly. “We don’t have all day.”

I took a deep breath, turning to face the drop-off once more. Then I backed up a few paces, said a quick prayer, and flung myself off the edge of the cliff.

Task 2:
The uniform of the protectors is no normal clothing. All campers wear a general sleek bodysuit, white in this case to represent the protectors. The bodysuit itself is very tight-fitting, but included with lots of storage pockets and very simple but stylish. The bodysuit can be worn over other clothes if preferred, but is usually worn by itself. It is a camper's choice if they want a bodysuit that has buttons or a zipper, or perhaps, mostly unheard of in the forest, velcro.
The bodysuit also comes with a sewed-in name tag for the member wearing it. The names are usually sewed in gold-colored thread.
On top of this, many campers prefer to accessorize their jumpsuits with belts, and the campers usually wear boots, or in the case of the Princeps Celebration, flats, sneakers, or kitten heels.
Some campers wear variations of this uniform, notably, Chief Katie wears a lightweight bodysuit that also serves as armor. She also wears a cloak over her head that safely hides most of her features.

Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

It has been quite a strange morning
Perhaps I felt quite happy for a bit, not a care in the world. But oh, that evaporated soon.
The prank those ninjas played on me earlier was quite alarming, yes. It was perfectly played, but I do not know how they do it. How did they?
Oh and did I mention that more ninjas disturbed my pack? I suspect a few might have stolen the fine candies my father packed for me to eat on the trip.
—-
I feel strange as the mist encloses me in the darkness. Shouldn't the other ninjas be here by now? Checking my watch, I glanced around in worry. And where was I? Was this another mistake of mine? Burying my face in my arm, I began to sob. I had come here to bring greatness to the forest, but all I made were mistakes. The adventurer and warrior that had arrived here must be already chatting with their newfound friends. None of the ninjas seemed to like my dark complexion and short black hair. They shot me dirty looks and laughed at me when I arrived at ninja practice wearing my bodysuit instead of my uniform. I had forgotten, and sensei was okay with it. Why did everyone hate me?

A battle. A real battle. I broke out in cold sweat just thinking about the scars I would gain in the midst of the other ninjas. I wasn't any good, not even half good as any of them. The adventurer and the warrior were doing fine, why couldn't I? I sat quietly on top of my bed, remembering the moment when sensei Vi broke the truth to me, gently. She knew and understood I did not want to go to battle, but she said my skills had to be put at the test, I had to reach my full potential. And I couldn't help but think she must be right. Getting into my bed, I reassured myself I would be fine. Just fine.
Waking up in the morning, I was afraid once again.Getting into my uniform, I grabbed my special weapon. Sensei Vi had decided that I would be best at the sword, and I had mindlessly agreed. Dragging my sword to the battleground now, though, I wasn't so sure about it. Would I do well in battle?
Within seconds, I broke out of my thoughts as chaos broke out on the battlegrounds. I anxiously searched for sensei vi, who stood at the edge of the battlegrounds. She met my eyes and gave me an encouraging smile. Hesitantly, I approached the battleground, sucking in my breath as I ran into the midst of battle. Locking weapons with a girl with nunchucks, I began to fight. Fight for my life, and for my pride.

Nighttime brought sleep, and sleep brought thoughts. As I laid on my cot the very night after the battle, my mind went back to the events of the day. The morning, the noonday embarrassment. I flushed at the thought of the cackling of the other ninjas. But I wouldn't fall prey to them. Glancing to my side, I saw the gentle rise and fall of the adventurer who had joined me. She was quite good at this and I could see it.
The warrior had done well too. They had fought well, especially since their blood was to fight.
But I, I was destined to protect, not to destroy. I had done decently, just enough to barely pass the test. As for this, Sensei Vi had confirmed that all three of us would be returning home, to the forest tomorrow. Ah, the good old forest.

Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

Final task from Vi:
Part 1:
Right now I feel a lot of things. Sad, because this month is coming to an end. Happy, because then, I’ll have time to write my novel. Excited, because today, I get to be a ninja. Tense, because we might not be able to pass poetry. Anxious, because I know there will be a wait between tonight and the results. Overall, I feel… ready to crush all opponents.
Part 2: Write for Three min without stopping… like a word war, then.
What is happening?
I look around in panic, trying to figure out what is surrounding me. Chaos, yes, but the cause is unknown. Screams fill the air, and I am pushed over by the people running past me. The outer wall crumbles, and I feel panic.
Then, I am overwhelmed by a sense of calm that only comes with complete and utter insanity. If I could stop whatever is advancing towards us, could I save my people from their deaths?
No time to plan. No time to mourn my own life. I start towards the giant machine that crawls over the wreckage. I run as fast as I can, pushing away people who try to stop me.
Part 3: Write a mystery for 2 or more min… never wrote a mystery before…
I pick up the paper on the floor. A letter. The scrawled signature on it is the same as that on the check that the police showed me. The signature of a certain A. Crawford. The man who killed several people, for apparently no reason. I scan the letter for a date, and find it on the bottom corner. Ten days ago, the day before the killings. I begin to read the letter.
Wilson,
How dare you come to assume that you know anything of my intentions, or me in general? You are but an arrogant salesman, who thinks himself a god able to look into the minds of us mortals at will, but I assure you that you are not. You know nothing of what I intend to do, and you know nothing of any ‘concerning behavior’ that I may have displayed, which is a fraud in itself. Do not even contemplate destroying my reputation again, no matter if it is after I am long dead.
Sincerely,
A. Crawford
Wilson… one of the men killed three days later.
This is getting to be very interesting…
Part 4:
How did I get here, you might be wondering.
Well, it’s an interesting story, thanks for asking.
It started yesterday, when I decided to steal a loaf of bread.
It’s not the best idea. Do not try it yourself.
I ran for it when the baker came after me. Of course, I tripped.
Of course.
The baker got me, dragged me to the police station. They locked me up. The end.
Thanks again for asking. If your looking for an actually interesting story, talk to Billy two cells down. He’s a murderer.

Fairy Tales
As I trekked through the woods, I caught glimpses of broken branches and fallen trees, their gnarled roots reaching up to ensnare any trespassers. It seemed as if a great storm had blown through here, causing destruction even in the impenetrable maze of thorns. I shuddered, and continued my search. Along the path, I spotted the wreckages of the different word count structures, among which murmuring campers prodded the debris. I made sure to stay hidden, and I didn’t think I was spotted. Cabin wars seemed to have been tough on Fairy Tales. But now it was time to turn away, to investigate another one of our enemies.

Horror
As I strolled down the street, I couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. I glanced around nervously, and then turned my gaze to how the Avenue had fared the recent disaster. There were lampposts smashed and lying on the ground, and many of the buildings had boarded-up windows. However, it was hard to tell if this was due to the recent Cabin Wars or if it was just a part of the Horror vibe. Nevertheless, I jotted down the situation, making sure not to accidentally wander down any dark alleys. Horror seemed to be doing pretty well, despite the wreckage. Once the area was surveyed, I headed away. It didn’t seem like a good idea to stick around for long, and anyway, Myth was next on the list.

Myth
I docked my rowboat in a quiet cove, and hiked within the trees to survey the island. Crumbling statues dotted the paths, and I saw a few temples whose roofs seem to have collapsed. However, the sounds of laughter flooded the air, and I caught glimpses of campers carrying materials and repairing buildings, hard at work at putting the cabin back to normal. Although Calypso’s Island took some hits during the Cabin Wars a few days ago, they were recovering quickly, and seemed better off than nearly all of the other cabins. They were an enemy to watch, I resolved. But not as much as the last cabin on my list. I returned to the cove, and tugged my rowboat back toward the water. It was time to sail to meet our mortal enemies.

Foetry
I fought through the undergrowth until I reached the main clearing of the wilds. There was damage to the structures, but the campers don’t seem to care about the destruction. Instead, they had joined at the center of the clearing, celebrating joyously. I watched from the shadows as they hang up decorations and put the last touches of icing on their victory cake, which is shaped like a trophy. I slinked away. The disaster we have been waiting for has not yet arrived. But it might be coming soon. Poetry’s victory is not yet ensured…

thank yous!

i can't believe we've reached the end of yet another great session - i've met even more people in this wonderful community, and my fourth session experience was amazing <3

Birdi // Thank you for continuing to be a fantastic host! I highly appreciate all of your work and dedication into camp, and SWC wouldn't have been possible without you. You're super helpful and friendly, and manage a large camp of 500+ people so smoothly :00 You've done amazing in Mystery as well - currently standing in the top five, that's epic ;> And of course, having such an organised schedule to be able to log on every single day to switch out the dailies, and perfectly on time: well done, I could never <3

Co-Hosts // I wish I could address each of you separately, but oh well - same goes, all of you are awesome and I appreciate your work for making camp possible!! :D

Sorters // It's impressive to be able to keep up with so many camper sign-ups, yet you all have impressively been able to do it! And Kat - way to go with actually sorting, that's amazing :sparkles:

Daily Team // Each and every one of the dailies and weeklies this session were extremely enjoyable to partake in! The creativity and thought put in to them really shows, and the prompting always puts me into work right away :DD SWC just isn't SWC without the dailies/weeklies, it'd just be missing everything, like a peanut butter jelly sandwich but no bread :'0 Thank you!

Memory Book Committee // Yep, I'm among this group but - thank you for everyone else's hard work with designing pages, especially with juggling them together with dailies! Coming from someone who does Yearbook IRL, I know that finding the perfect combination can be tough, but you guys are incredible at that. All the pages are sure to look beautiful, and I can't wait to see the final thing all together :) I love to look back at old memory books to view wonderfully captured chaos, without y'all, that wouldn't be possible <33

Workshop Creators // I'm always blown away at how well the workshops are built - so much information packed together, along with being so easily understandable! There's never been a workshop I've left without picking up on some skills, tips, or information. You guys actually make writing easy, hehe ;]

Peachii // Finally, on to Horror Avenue notes! I've written some already, if not many, but what's the harm in more, ahah: Peachii, you've been an wonderfully outstanding leader, and it's been lovely leading alongside you - don't dwell too much on having to go inactive, we all have our outside lives waiting to be lived out <3 Nonetheless, you've done so much for the cabin: from setting up the base of everything, creating a stunning, unique, creative theme, building an interesting plot line, and making those thumbnails, which I can't describe how much they are pleasing to the eye! Each idea of yours is amazing. You've put in plenty of effort, time, and work that's still holding up out cabin - and that's definitely something to be proud of <33 Time travel back to when you asked me to be co ~ your application was astonishing, and I had been delighted, and still am! You have great art, you have a great personality, you're always so kind - and I'm glad to have met you on my SWC journey :)) /gen

Lisa // You've been spectacular to lead with too, thank you for being there to step up and manage the cabin <33 You're super flexible, outgoing, and an overall easy to talk to person, I hope to continue to chat with you out of SWC! Your leader application was much to adorable, as well as every other piece of art you create ^0^ The matching icons for this session were memorable and showed the energy of horrawr perfectly!! I'm happy to have encountered you along SWC too ;D

My Word Count Group // It's surely been a joy to add all of your words throughout the session - you guys are such productive and active writers :00 I apologize if my adding schedule had been slightly inconvenient, I did take a little pause for some days but hopefully it worked out sob <3

Horror Campers // I would've addressed each of you guys individually, but there are so many of you and so much awesomeness for my fingers to HANDle >:D but thank you for being Horror citizens this March! There are fifteen other cabins, and to those who put Horror as one of their choices on camper sign-ups, thank you for choosing to fly with our airlines thank you for wanting to join us :>> I had been especially amazed at how much you guys achieved during cabins wars - I don't think we missed a single war, which is seriously impressive like how - and most with time to spare! I had left unwillingly in the middle of a war, but came back delightfully shocked <3 Whether or not you've hit your word goal is okay, or if you feel you didn't “participate enough” - Thank you, for just being a resident or ghost of Horror Avenue!

Rest of the (Co)-Leaders // I've said this so much, but I really wish I could've done individual notes :sob: </3 but on with it - every (co)-leader this session has done amazing work for their cabin! I've visited every one of them one point through the session, and the collection of themes and all the storylines still impress me to this day c: For there to be fifteen cabins, and being able to enter all of them and leave happy is amazing, thanks for making SWC what it is <3
short notes for all the cabins because I've decided to, order in main cabin because !!
- Poetry! Thank you for bringing us cookies, even though they are suspiciously from an enemy </3 I do not appear to be poisoned. Yet. /j But on a serious note, good job on the sackfulls of points ;)
- Fanficcc, I love your introduction thing so much :D
- Myth! I'm not surprised Elle has gone to lead another sparkly amazing cabin - also, pretty thumbnail you guys have got ;0;
- Mystery - the only cabin in top five that's an ally, ehe. You guys have a wonderful theme :0
- Dystopian,, amazing concepts in your storyline!
- Non-fi! A museum works so well with a nonfiction theme, and your icons are woah /pos
- Sci-fi! I love your colorful cabin colors eep
- Fantasyyyy, love the storyline as well - very good conflict building, if that's a thing :sparkles:
- Thriller, you guys have an entire map ;) and the cabin colors are so nicely chosen!
- #campcontempusion, who happen to be stuck in 20200 :'D Your theme is also yes heheh
- Adventureeee, having a choose-your-own-adventure theme is genius
- Real-fi! An academy is also genius, plus everything in the cabin is so aesthetically pleasing <3
- Hi-fi time tree! I love the concept with time travel >>
- Fairy tales - your theme and story intro is awesomeeee

and lastly, thank you to every single user in the camp, for building the best community possible <333

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!” Holding in the scream was harder than I thought it would be. I thought I heard screaming coming from above me too. I brought my hands up to my face and covered my eyes and my mouth, trying to muffle the scream. This was 100x worse than any roller coaster I'd ever go on!

I realized I was starting to turn over in the air, and I saw Anika about 20 feet above me, plummeting down headfirst. Okay, maybe that was worse. At least the way I was falling felt slightly similar to….skydiving.

Suddenly, something seemed to explode behind me. I spun my head around (my face felt like it was getting distorted by the wind) and was just in time to see the big white….parachute-bag-sack-balloon shaped thingy enclose me.

“WHAT KIND OF PARACHUTE IS THIS????” I began. I was trapped! I could hear the sound of leaves rustling (and see the shadows they cast on the big white bag-shaped thingy) and knew I was beginning to fall through the treetops. There was a thump and I landed on the forest floor. I could hear Anika screaming for about 3 more seconds before there was another thunk and I knew she was probably somewhere around me.

“Anika!!!!” I yelled. “You there?”

“Yeah!” she sounded out of breath. “What did the Professor do? We're trapped! The branches didn't even make a single rip in this material!”

She was right.

Part Three of the Fanfiction Treaty (221 words)

In addition, to honor the new peace in the forest, a Center for Ceremonies will be constructed at the Heart. It will be built with contributions of the Warriors, Protectors, and Adventurers, and will be a place where all can gather for celebration. However, it will also be a place for Guardians to learn about the history of Fanfiction Forest, and will contain information about our roots, the struggle that drove us apart, and the events and bonds that now tie us together. Once repaired, the Helmet, Laurel Wreath, and Compass will have a special location within the Center, and will be placed at the site of the Leaders’ Tree to remind us that the divisions must never let themselves break apart again.

The time has come for the divisions to retake their former places within the forest. Although we lost sight of this value in the past years, now we come together in peace and harmony. We will carry on to repair the bonds broken so long ago. We will aid each other to grow strong and healthy. And we will always remember our role in this world. We are the Guardians of the Forest. And we are forever united in our quest to protect it.

With the uniting of the villages will certainly come many changes. One of the key things that will change is the adjustment of the borders- whilst the divisions have respected one another's territory in the decades past, the forest will come to merge as one, whole land. Guardians from all divisions alike will be permitted to live alongside each other and work in harmony, as the village was formerly in the past.

The Treaty For Fanfiction Forest

For generations, the Adventures, Protectors, and Warriors had quarreled over their ancestors’ legacy and right to power. One family, fractured into three, each faction trying to repair their talisman to gain sole control of power. But now, as we have risen together to restore the Heart’s memory, we are now united. We are not three divisions, but one forest.

Everyone was in panic, no one trusting anyone but themselves. We still didn’t know who the killer was. Aria kept trying to bring people into ‘ze boat’, but no one trusted her, and Paige’s ghost floated around trying to reassure everyone.
It was complete chaos in its purest form.

Sci-fi:

The flare wasn’t being answered.
No one had seen the latest flare, and supplies had just run out. Logistics was calculating how long until we took our last breaths if no one came with supplies, and security was trying to break up the fights for crumbs of food in the halls. If no one came…

Mystery:

Everyone was fighting.
Ninjas fought against ninjas, using all their skills old and new to avoid defeat. No one knew what had started the fight, but none of the sensei’s were having any luck breaking it up. If it didn’t end soon, the whole dojo would be destroyed. But the fights just wouldn’t stop.

Contemp:

The marshmallows were missing.
When Eevee had gone in the supply cabinet for the night’s bonfire, they had all been gone. Everyone thought the other was the culprit, and Eevee could be heard yelling about how too much sugar like that would make it hard for anyone to sleep on time.

Historical Fiction:
As I climb my way into the Time Treehouse of Historical Fiction, I am amazed by the sight that beholds me. Posters and files plastered all along the mahogany walls, campers running back and forth to examine manila files and books, crying “EUREKA!” at breakthroughs and crossing suspects off their lists. Hopefully, they can find Tokei soon.

Fanfiction:
The fanfiction cabin is a haze- as a member of it myself, I can confirm this. We're working left and right to accomplish all the tasks on time. The clock is ticking, and we must save the forest…hopefully we can do so in time. I'm writing for our final task right now. With these words, we should be able to save the Heart.

Nonfiction:
The nonfiction museum is relentless to find the thief who stole their precious artifacts. I can't help but watch in awe as Maia commands her campers fiercely, Jia and Ollie assisting wherever they can, and Stormi managing it all from up above. They truly are a remarkable bunch- we're luck to have them on our side.

Realistic Fiction:
The realistic fiction students, when I visited them, were busy avidly writing away. Fae, Arli, and Scarlet arranged quite the competition for them, and they've all risen to the challenge wonderfully. I wonder who will win their competition…I must keep a close eye on their cabin.

THANK YOU NOTES ASFHDKL

I’d like to start by saying thank you to everyone I have interacted with for this entire session. Everyone, every camper, every leader, made my first session co-leading an amazing experience. I’m very grateful. I was graced with such an amazing leader, cabin, and just overall friends to come on this journey with me, and I could never thank you enough.

Campers
Lax - Ahhh Lax! Thank you so much for all your help during Cabin Wars! You are such a great writer and I’m so happy to have had you in my cabin! I know I wasn’t your division leader, but I wanted to say thank you for all of your work and dedication.

Kit - Hey Kit! I know I wasn’t your leader either, but I appreciate your help with the tasks (and great job on winning a most likely to lol). I can tell you were a super active camper and your help scoring us points is something I’m thankful for <3

Kat - ASDFGHJ YOU’VE WRITTEN SO MUCH KAT. LIKE. WOAH. I was so grateful to have you as a box this session, and I hope that we meet again soon <3

Sari - SARIIII AHHHH You have been such a gift as a camper this session! You’ve written a lot and all of your help with tasks and just overall activity has been so so amazing and I was super super super thrilled to have you in my division. Thank you for organizing that gift for Lukatie, Andy and me, it melted my heart. <3

Erie - You’re such a good author! I know that your activity was a little down towards the end, but you were such an active participant and I’m very proud of where you helped us to be. Thank you for an amazing session <3

Katty - KATTTTYYY ADUGISLK YOU WERE SO AMAZINNGGG <3 You wrote a truly great amount of words this session, and helped so much with everything. I appreciate everything you did and hope to see you around!

Em - I didn’t really get to know you this session, but I hope to see you around sometime!

Mily - You were a delight to have this session! Your occasional commentary was amazing, and always added a little spice of comedy

JC - YOU WROTE A LOT OF WORDS TOO AJFDKKJHDS. JC, you’ve come as far as everyone else in your growth and were just a pleasure to have as my camper this session. I loved all of your participation and hope to see you in future sessions <3

Keila - AGAIN ONE OF OUR HUGE CONTRIBUTORS!! I am grateful for your willingness to help out around the cabin, and all your writing was great. You had one of the most shard counts this session, and I think that’s because of your amazing self care routine. I applaud you.

Zia - Thank you for all of your contributions this session! I loved having you around and talking to you was a really fun experience, and I hope to see you in my cabin in the future <3

Wild - THE MOST GLORIOUS BOX ASDFGH. WILD- I swear. Your photo editing skills are absolutely *glorious*. You were so active this session and such a helpful, enthusiastic, and overall happy camper (not derogatory in any way ^^). I hope to see you in future sessions, and even more so hope to see you in my cabin <3

ZuZu - I didn’t see you too much, but thank you for contributing what you did! Great job

Wari - OMG WARI YOU CARRIED THE WARRIORS XDD. Wari, I’m so proud of all you have done this session. You really helped keep the spirit of the Warriors alive, even when Andy went inactive and your fellow campers did too. You helped so so so much and really led the Warriors across that long awaited finish line, and for that I offer you a “summa laude” (with the highest praise) and some of Grandma Mac’s cookies

Butter - Thank you for your kind words in the project Sari put together! It was very kind of you to say all of those things, and know I’m here if you ever need it <3

The rest of the Warriors/Adventurers - I know I didn’t write something to every one of you, but I didn’t want to get too repetitive. All in all, I wanted to tell you guys what an amazing and glorious experience it was to have you all as a part of the fanfiction forest this session. Even through the rough patches, you guys pulled through and I know all of your leaders are grateful for that.

An overall message to my boxes - Boxes, I will never forget any of you. You guys made my first session co-leading such a great experience, and I know I’ve said this before, but I have so much platonic love for each of you, and every one of you pieces of cardboard will hold a special place in my heart. My profile is open to all of you, forever and always <3
Leaders and Cos
Foetry (Robin, Fi, Blair, and Jade) - All of you guys did such a great job building the rivalry between Fan Fi and Poetry, and I am extraordinarily grateful for it. You helped motivate our campers and that’s the best thing I can ask for. While I still hope we win (/nm) you were more than worthy adversaries.

Mystery (Birdi, Butter, and Vi) - Y’all’s cabin this session was super cool! The pfps were excellent and I enjoyed the occasional comment stalk. Thank you guys for helping with our storyline <3

Thriller (LJ, Stingray, and Paige) - YOUR THUMB WAS SO COOL ISTGG IAUSGIA. All of you are such amazing people and did such a great job with your campers this session <33 I hope to continue to see all of you guys around

Fantasy (Aria, Soft, and Yumi) - Y’all- your aesthetic was super cool. I loved the color choice. I appreciate you guys being such great sports during the #westanthegreatbetrayal, and I genuinely hope to see all of you around D

Contemp (Daisy, Eevee, Gigi, and CD) - The camp contemp idea was so cool :000 but seriously I loved your cabin aesthetic, and your campers were super nice <3 I would love to continue to see all of you guys around and my pf is always open <33

Horror (Peachii, Lisa, and Juli) - YOU GUYS HAD A COOL THUMB TOO :000 You guys were super fun to work with this session, and Peachii, I hope you feel better <3

Adventure (Lio, Finley, and Cettie) - I didn’t talk to you guys too too much this session, but thank you for putting up with all of the wars we sent your way! Hope to get to know you guys more next session(s) and my pf is always open

Real-Fi (Fae, Arlie, and Scarlet) - again, didn’t get to know you guys nearly as well as I wish I had, but I think y’all’s profile pictures were beautiful, and I think that you guys had a super cool aesthetic as well. Just as for everyone else, feel free to stop by my pf at any point <3

Fairy Tales (Sun, Ally, and Ash)
- I know like nothing about your storyline for this session, but it looked SUPER COOL. I loved your profile pictures too- absolutely stunning I swear <3

Hi-FI (Mac, Vivi, and Rockie) - GRANDMA MAC AHHHHHH THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING SO MUCH MOTIVATION I SWEAR IT WAS SO GOOODDD <33 The time tree idea was super cool, and I feel like your color scheme matched it super well D

Hosts/cohosts - Thank you all for making this possible <3 You all have helped me so so much during this (my first session as a co) and answering all of my questions was an enormous help. You are all people I aspire to be like, and make me hope to actually host one day (I know these goals are crazy xD i don’t care)

MBC and Daily Team - OMG you guys have both worked so hard and I’m so impressed! The dailies this session were all EXTRAORDINARY and I loved all of them! Even though I didn’t share every single one, I think you all did such a great job. As for the Memory Book…that beautiful masterpiece will come out when it’s done and I’m so excited

Three individual thank you notes:

Eevee - Eevee. I can’t even begin to explain how much I’ve enjoyed becoming your friend this session. You’ve helped keep me motivated, remind me to take care of myself, all while having a good time. I know we’ve known each other for less than a month, but I hope you know I am always here for you any time you need it, or even if you just want to stop by and say hello. I really hope to lead with you sometime soon, I think it would be really fun

Andy - ARDFGHJK ANDY YOUR ART- YOUR ART YOUR ART ISTG. IT'S SO GOOD. I know you’re inactive at the moment, but I wanted to thank you for all that you’ve done and helped with in planning our cabin. You were such a crucial part of the Fanfiction team and we couldn’t have done it without you. I hope you’re recovering from whatever has been going on for you, and know that I am here whenever you need me, and I am happy to help you <3

LUKATIE - OMG LUKATIE NO WORDS COULD EVER DESCRIBE HOW GRATEFUL I AM THAT YOU CHOSE ME AS CO. I never thought I’d end up co-leading this session, so when I received your invitation I was literally shaking. Since then, I feel like we’ve built such a bond, and I’m so grateful. We’ve gone through our own personal performances and struggled with our sleep schedules. We’ve speedrun dailies and weeklies together, and added to all of the chaos. I know you remember all of this, but I find it so satisfying to recap all of it. I’m proud to say you are one of my good friends now, and I really really hope we continue to talk. I hope to see you in all future sessions, and I will do my best to actively seek you out. I also hope we get to lead together again sometime, because we were such an amazing team. Your ideas are so amazingly good and your writing is just *chef’s kiss*. I’ll say it again, I have no words for the amount of acceptance and joy you helped me feel this month, and I’m forever grateful and in debt to you for it. Thank you for everything <3

In closing, thank you to everyone for this most amazing session. You all have contributed so much to making everything so amazing, and I’m so grateful. I know I got a little repetitive, but as is the trend, I ran out of sufficient adjectives to describe everything. Even if you weren’t listed by name, please know I still see you and am grateful for everything. As I’ve said about a bajillion times before in these notes, my pf is always open to anyone who wants to chat.

All of the platonic love in the world,
Katie <3
