Pretty much all pieces of software have vulnerabilities. Every browser has bad vulnerabilities, it's bascily impossible to make software without serious bugs.

Usually for browser policies, such as blocking features or just being able to sync across devices. Especially if it's a school they most liekly use Chrome because of G Suite and they most likely have Chromebooks that just work well with G Suite.

The web is too big, and anything that gets popular - gets corprotised. noticed how forums and independant websites are basically all gone by now. I have many reasons to blame social media for its failures and addictive style. -_-
