The Martian.

RIP potatoes, man.
Very late, but man! The Martian was awesome! Book's great (if not greater) too. There are way more swears in the book though.

“Yipee, I did it!” the man said with glee,
“I've solved that darned riddle, I've solved it, you see!”
The sphinx simply smiled and shook her strange head,
“I'm afraid you're wrong, and therefore you're dead.”

That isn't a film…

Wao how is that possible

Uh Squidward? Yes Spongebob? You might want to look at this… HOLY SHRIMP! If we don't act now, well, think about how many clams I'll have to cough up JUST to see an extra portion of nick.com… or worse, to see ALL of it in general! *** Reader! This is not a fictional sketch! It actually is, but that's not the point. Learn more at the link that Spongebob left at the first instance of “this”.

1. 2001: A Space Odyssey - Pro tip: Read the book first or the movie will make no sense. Beautiful movie, Hal is not a psychopath. I almost want to mention 2010, but it was sooooo bad. Most of the deviations made from the book were pretty inexcusable, too. Yet the Hal/Hal and Chandra moments were touching, which apparently is enough for me not to absolutely hate it. Probably woulda been much, much better if Kubrick directed it. Side note, 2001 and 2010 were wonderful books, but if you want to read the series, don't bother reading or don't expect anything great from 2061 or 3001. The cover of the copy of 2061 I read had this AWESOME scene depicted with Hal and Dave in whatever interdimensional world they were exploring, bUT WE GOT NONE OF THAT. WHAT WE GOT WAS A FEW PAGES OF A CHAPTER OF I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER- rant over. Aside from that, they were just plain boring. 2061 follows Heywood Floyd after everything was sorted out with the Discovery, and 3001 follows Frank Poole. Okay, even without anything Hal related, 2010's character interactions were just so… interesting, I guess, and the tension in 2001 was great. You don't get that with 2061 and 3001. 3001 was better than 2061, I'll give it that. Slightly more interesting. BUT THE END-

Anyway we were talking about films weren't we.

2. Doctor Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - I chose this for an AP US History film project. I kinda wonder if my teacher regretted that because I was nuts about this movie for like a month after.

3. My Neighbor Totoro - This was a cute movie, I really liked it. Now to watch everything else Studio Ghibli made.

4. MST3K Godzilla vs. Megalon - Jet Jaguar + MST3K = Nuff Said

Gentlemen! You can't fight here! This is the War Room!

While I would normally list them out, I feel like geeking about this one movie that used to be on Netflix.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos.
I never watched Brotherhood nor the original 2003 version, so this was the first animated FMA thing I saw. I'm reading the mangas so I wasn't exactly introduced to FMA the way many people were.
I honestly loved Sacred Star of Milos. It kinda reminds me of the basic plot of the Hunger Games, only done 100x better. My favorite part of the movie was when these dead people living at the bottom of a canyon (no spoilers so this is spoiler free) get burned. It was emotional and moving.

I suggest watching the movie, but just to be warned, there's this one scene in the movie where there is a bunch of blood. There's death, blood, and swearing. I don't suggest watching it if you are under 13, but check it out if you're older.

Shorty?! Could a shorty do this?! What else do you want to call me: a half-pint bean-sprout midget?! I'm still growing you backwater desert idiots! I'LL BREAK DOWN YOUR FEET AND STICK 'EM ONTO YOUR HEAD!

My favorite movie is obviously the Bee Movie, there is no other choice. Main character Barry Bee Benson was born for the role. The romantic under plot was genius, the jokes were super hilarious and the message at the end was tear-dropping. The only movie close to this was Pearl Harbor by Michael Bay.

3. Les Miserables(2012): Truly beautiful story, it doesn't adapt everything from the play though, thus moving it down to 3
2. Jurassic Park(1993): AMAZING SOUNDTRACK and great filmmaking
1.Back to the Future (whole trilogy) (1985): I know this is kinda cheating but oh my gosh, this movie trilogy is brilliant and has been my favorite since I was like 6 years old
