Correct. Campaigning officially starts in 8 days however people must say that they are a candidate before then and it is better if they have their banner and speech before then too as then they don’t have to worry about it during the campaign.

Hello there! I'm XCat (or Cat for short!) and I'm running for president of the SPA, as I really want to help out in any way I can. I believe my presidency would offer so much more than the other candidates. Here's why:

(1) Firstly, I advocate for more support for small shops, to help them get up and running. I, by no means believe it is harder to run a small shop than a large shop, however, I believe that small shops need more support from the SPA than large shops. In my eyes, all shops and their members are equally important. I believe one shop's vote is equal to another shop's vote, whether the shop is large or small.

The SPA can help small shops by advertising and recommending them, as well as getting temporary workers in to help them out and create stunning banners to attract attention. I propose creating a subsidiary of the SPA, the Shop Assistance Agency (the SAA), which will offer support to shops, which is crucial for new shop owners.

I, for one, would be happy to put a small shop's banner in my signature to get them some orders.

(2) Secondly, I believe shops in the SPA should have comparable leave policies for workers in shops. Honestly, I've been fired before for letting a shop I worked at know I was going on a holiday for four weeks. This way, workers clearly know how much leave they can have, as it will be stated in a new law section.

This also means that any disputes between owners of shops and their workers over leave can be sorted out by SPA judges.

(3) Finally, I believe that there should be better support for inactive shops. I have experienced much frustration as an active owner of an inactive (now closed) shop when none of my workers were active. I would have loved some temporary workers to come in and complete some orders while I rebuilt.

I suggest another subsidiary called the ISSA (Inactive Shop Support Agency), which will help inactive shops out with plans, support workers and much more.

In conclusion, I believe that you should vote for me. What I offer will benefit you greatly, if you, voters, choose me as your president. I am completely dedicated to you, and I want to do anything I can to help you and your shop out.

Hello. I am 78ch3, and I would love to run for president in the SPA June 2018 presidential election. My qualities for becoming a president are that I have lots of knowledge of Scratch. I run a successful shop, 78ch3’s Everything Shop, and I am Vice President of USS. I make amazing games and I am about to become a FPC in the coming weeks. Hello SPA voters!

I'm @ncro2005 and I want to be your SPA president for May 2018!

I want start off with that I'm a name you can trust, I've been in the SPA since February 9th 2018. Over the months, I've gained a lot of trust in the SPA. Just 4 days after I joined, I got appointed as co-owner, so you can guarantee I can handle any situation. I'll increase the SPA size in members greatly and strengthen us as a whole by inviting people and increase our presence in the requests forum. Another reason why you should vote for me is my experience with shops, my shop is over 3 months old and has around 40 completed orders, I also have been a employee of jromagnoli's The Dream Shop since December 5th 2017, I have been head of shops here for a long time, and I've been on scratch as a whole for over 1 year. You can also know I'm a good choice for president because last SPA election (which was the first ever), I was runner-up in a judge-voting tie breaker and I (unfortunately) lost 3-2, so you can know other people thought I was a good choice last time. You may ask “Why does experience matter?”, the reason is that because of the experience I have, you can depend on me to run the SPA smoothly, help all of our shops, and fully understand and fulfill every shop's needs. In many many cases, people that are experienced at their jobs are more successful and know how to manage things better. The next reason you should vote for me is that I will listen to peoples ideas and propose them if they are good. It will be how in the USA, you can send letters to a local congressman/congresswoman a law or idea and it might be considered. I promise no one will be put down without consideration or valid reasons if you vote for me. Lastly, I will treat everyone fairly, no matter how big or small your shop is. In conclusion, if you vote for me, you can have trust in your president, I'll increase SPA size, I have experience with shops and can rely on a great leader and rely on me to know what I'm doing and help everyone, I will listen to people's ideas about laws and other things, and you can count on fair treatment. So vote for @ncro2005 for SPA president today!

P.S. I will also propose policies/laws during the campaign.
