If you rightclick and copy the “if colour…touches colour…” block, you cant place the block, if you've clicked into the colour picking square

I found a way to avoid the broken file error! If you download the file and then open it, it'll install!

I get this: "Sorry, and error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining the new installer file from the application author."

Awesome! I am a bit disappointed that you can still only use the default texts, but I know that the scratch team is working hard to make this happen
I was also a bit dissapointed that they didn't add a title screen… (But it's just in beta!)
A title screen?…
There was a SDS project. Someone suggested it could be a title screen for the offline editor.

Um… I have linux and wine. So I should be able to run the application under wine. Could you please do something so that I could download it even though my system is not officially supported?

Ok, downloaded it, played around with it for thirty seconds, and found that the substitute for right click on Windows (Ctrl + Left Click) doesn't work. So now I can't delete variables (My mouse only has left click), can't clean up the scripts, etc.

I hope that you add this later in the alpha version! It's really useful.

Also, I have found it useful if you like hold down the left click button.

Most likely within the next two/three weeks. (I don't really know, I'm not on the Scratch Team.)

I have an idea for what you can do for the backpack: Since some of us have stuff in the backpack online, you can have an option to log in to Scratch before you start editing. It will access the backpack, so you can use that, as well as put new stuff in it.

I only check in to Scratch from time to time to see what others have been up to. I don't really post anything anymore. I'll occasionally post a question in the AT forum if I can't find an answer anywhere else.

That will be added. As a workaround for now: You can save your projects in the offline editor. Then go online, create a new project, then click the File menu and choose: “Upload from my computer.”

I just tried it out, and I found two bugs:

1. When you switch to full-screen, the help bar on the right side doesn't disappear.

2. There's no way to set a default username for the username block. This isn't a bug as much as a missing feature, but I still think it's important.

I am using it on Windows XP.
