Group Stage
Shops compete to be the top two in groups of three by having more points to qualify

Knockout Stage
Shops compete directly with one other shop, trying to get the best opinions out of the judges from an order they complete to qualify for finals
Finals
Shops that qualify compete all together to complete an order and get the best ratings from the judges. The shop with the highest tally of points is named the Shopetition Seasonal Champion!

Group Stage
The Group Stage is the longest part of the Shopetition, where all shops are divided into groups of three and compete to earn points based on order reviews. Staff members complete orders, and when reviews are made, the overall rating from 1 to 10 determines the points earned: for each point above 7, the shop gains one point (for example, an 8/10 review gives 1 point, a 10/10 review gives 3 points), while ratings below 7 deduct points at a rate of one point per rating point below 7 (so a 5/10 review deducts 2 points). Every review should be submitted on this topic, including the link of the review form, the date the order was made, and by whom. Please use the form below. At the end of this stage, the two shops with the highest point totals in each group advance to the Knockout Stage, and the shop with the lowest points is eliminated from the competition. This season, shops will be limited to three orders. If there is a tie between two shops at the end of the group stage, a small order will be given to one of the staff members by me, and reviewed by me, and the one with a better rating will qualify. This is the most efficient way we break a tie.

Group Stage Rules (important)
-Members of a shop cannot order at the shop they work at.
-Customers can only make two orders at a shop before their next orders do not count.
-Alt accounts cannot be used to exploit ordering. If we think an alt account was used, the shop can be disqualified from the Shopetition for multiple seasons.
-The rating given by a customer should not be motivated by the Shopetition. The rating should strictly reflect the quality and service of the order.

Knockout Stage
Each shop must select one representative (a member of the shop) to compete in the Knockout Stage. This representative will be paired with another to complete a custom order based on a prompt created by the host. The order must be either an art order or a code order, chosen by the shop. Before the bracket is announced, the shop must send the representative's username and chosen order type (art or code) to me—either through my profile, in this topic, the studio, or anywhere where I will see it. Once the prompt is given, the representative will have until the end of the Knockout Stage to complete the order. When finished, they must comment a link to the final order to the SS25 Studio. If the order is not submitted on time or if the representative becomes unavailable during the round, the shop will be eliminated. Only the selected representative may complete the order—no help from teammates is allowed. After submissions close, three judges will rate each entry out of 10. These judges will be people who are chosen from people who apply to be a judge from the form at the bottom. If one of the judges is a member of one of the shops they are judging, a backup judge will be appointed to review the order instead. The shop with the highest combined score from the judges will advance to the finals. If more than five shops remain after this round, an additional knockout stage will be held. Keep in mind that the same person cannot represent the shop again in the finals, so plan your team strategy accordingly.

-Shop owners cannot force a staff member to represent their shop.
-When one of the judges is a shop owner or a member of one of the shops, a backup judge will be appointed to review the order to avoid bias.

Finals
The finals are the last stage of the Shopetition. During this stage, two to five shops should remain. Every shop that remains will compete against each other to be the champion of the 2025 Summer Shopetition! This stage is similar to the knockout stage, as representatives will compete to complete an order to the best of their ability. However, the representative in the finals cannot be the person who represented the shop during the knockout stage. When completed orders are submitted in the studio, there will be two winners. They are the Seasonal Art Champion and the Seasonal Code Champion.
