Gaster is flowey

Edit: this is probably untrue but got me to think, both characters lost themselves due to determination

Nuh uh, gaster is a monster, and Flowey is a flower. flowey doesn't have a soul so he can handle determination, but gaster cant as he is a monster and has a normal monster soul

Yeah. Flowey cant be a monster, he doesn't have a monster soul, and only is living because of the determination inside of him. The determination to live, however, not the determination to love.

yeah, but it's not bad, just don't listen to papyrus' dialogue, if you do it will break you. after you kill him he still believes in you

Just remember, if you do a genocide run. there's a way to revert it. (it's either uninstall the game and get it again or manually going into the game files to delete the save file.)

edit: not sure though since gaster's shattered across time & space, but even then he hasn't even made an appearance (the bunker is just audio, which i wouldn't say is an “appearance”, that's more of a “cue” - and him being mysteryman is also not confirmed, so it wouldn't match irregardless) - so it probably doesn't count as DR discussion here lol

Introducing Weird Psychic Theory:
Every character who is manipulated for the Weird Route will use a spell similar to one of the Mother series' offense PSI/PK.
Noelle's Iceshock is a single-target, high damage, swirling blast of ice, exactly like PK Freeze.
Toriel is known to possess fire magic, and many of her attacks in Undertale revolve around creating waves of fire from her hands. If she ends up appearing as a party member in Chapter 3, and she's used for Chapter 3's Weird Route (if it even has one), her attacking spell that she's forced to use will be a row-targeting wave of fire, just like PK Fire.
This leaves the following offense PSI:
PK Rockin' (Ness' unique psychic attack, hits all enemies)
PK Flash (Tries to apply effects to all enemies, stronger levels have stronger effects with some having a chance to instantly KO)
PK Thunder (Shoots lightning that has a 1 in 4 chance of hitting any enemy)
PK Starstorm (Basically the same as PSI Rockin' except a different party member learns it)

It could probably also be argued that Rude Buster is a parallel to PK Beam from Earthbound Beginnings, since they're both single target attacks that deal high damage.
Maybe there could also be a spell that's a parallel to Mother 3's PK Ground, but idk who'd use it (I'm not gonna type out how it's damage works cause it's kinda complicated and I'm not even fully sure)
There's also Mother 3's PK Love which works the same as Starstorm and Rockin'.
