then sometimes i change it a little when i'm bored and listen to all the files in my “beepbox” folder

i do something similar to that, but i tend to create songs in branching paths from the same original thing. i don't really know how to explain it, so i used the word “draft” as a sort of placeholder term.

i don't know the Pro Composer Strats so i just start by making something sound good and then go from there. for me, a “draft” is just the marker for a branching point, kinda like this:

i don't think there's a right or wrong way to do music - whatever works for you and gives you the highest quality of content. whether that's by learning music theory, doing branch-y path-y stuff or by just doing what sounds good - whatever way works for you works for your content.

of course, i'm not the best judge of “musical correctness,” and i don't think that anyone claiming to be the best judge of musical correctness is anyone worth listening to. do what works for you.

i mean i mostly make originals with no plan before starting it, so just saving it as a file on my computer with random letters as a filename is good enough.

yeah thats cool. i have my fnf songs on a seperate doc from all my other songs (originals, songs from other games, etc), and i just put them as i go there. the fnf one isnt even planned stuff its just if i happen to make it then theres a slot for it.
