Blocks get unresponsive after doing this.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 89.0, No Flash version detected
If it did work, try scrolling in the editor (where the define block is).
- Create a block. The name doesn't matter.
- Drag out the block.
- Change the name of the block to “%”.
- Click ok. It won't work, so press cancel.
- Scroll on the block pallete.
If it did work, try scrolling in the editor (where the define block is).

Signatures are the only place where assets links still work.

Couldn't replicate. Was still able to interact with blocks.
Edit: Could replicate with the new steps

[View post]My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 91.0.4472.114, No Flash version detectedAppearently you have to drag out the block before renaming it. After that, you need to scroll on the block pallete. Then it's unresponsible. Huh.

Can partially reproduce. Trying to rename a block to “%” generates this error in the browser console (the block's name then disappears on the define block):
However, the symptoms are different: all blocks in the block palette get squished up to the top left corner, and the blocks that are visible can be grabbed, manipulated, and executed. Switching to a different tab and back will fix the block palette, along with reverting the custom block's name.
Edit: After following these instructions, I can reproduce the part where the blocks stop responding to input. When they freeze up, large numbers of these errors get generated in the browser console:

That error is interesting… (Also, I have added the new instructions into the OP.)

This is a known issue. There are already multiple GiHub issues for it.

The dialogue box becomes unresponsive, and that's a known issue. I didn't get any lag though, Firefox 89 for macOS Big Sur 11.4
