No support, these blocks are special. Yes, block spam exists, but that does not mean you can judge a city by its criminals.

Here are some genuine reasons to follow up @rendangbike2's post.

- to ask for help with scripts and vice versa.
- to try to make workarounds for a suggested block
- to suggest a block
- to advertise in their signature

This is not blockspam:
- placing blocks in signatures to ask people to follow them
- to place a post with mostly blocks (if it's workarounds to frequently suggested blocks.)
Why they would ask for help, make workarounds, suggesting, advertise in the ‘New Scratchers’ and ‘Announcements’ forum?

Wait, seeing signatures mentioned makes me think of something.

What if someone had blocks in their signature and posted in either of those forums? Would they still be there?

This is an account that exists.

Announcements forum- only accessible by the ST.
New Scratchers- not allowed to blockspam or advertise, except in their signatures.

This suggestion is to only block Scratchblocks in those forums, where blockspam is rampant. And sure, only the ST can make topics in Announcements, but anyone can post.

as someone who was a new scratcher once, adding a “block testing” forum would better fix the problem
i used to post scratchblocks to test how they worked in the closest place i thought fit
if they cant post scratchblocks in new scratchers or announcements forums, they'll do it somewhere else

I thought there was already a topic for that?

That won't help at all, not only because there is already a block testing forum in HwS, but almost nobody coming into Announcements from the front page even knows about the forums in general and won't find it. They just think it's some cool new way to talk.

Not mine. That's what all the other people said in New Scratchers when I asked “why use the ‘say’ block when you could just use text?”

first of all, blocks is easier to undertstand rather than text blocks
what are text blocks you may ask? something like this:

round (…) to nearest (… v) :: operators :: reporter
join (…) (…) (…) :: operators :: reporter
<…> is true? :: operators :: boolean

(…) is active? :: custom :: boolean
if the definition of {…} is {…} then {…} :: custom

erase all (… v) :: pen
sprite used (… v) mode? :: pen :: boolean

it would be easier to understand with actual blocks
therefore, no support
