Add Some More Mature Looking Sprites, Backdrops And Sounds To The Scratch Library

I think adding more mature sprites, backdrops and sounds to the scratch library, but not removing the current sprites, backdrops and sounds would make Scratch more appealing to the older beginner.

I mean sounds that would be appealing to older users, but not violent, scary or rude.

Can you give some specifics? You are not giving us any idea of what you would like added.

You need to keep in mind that Scratch is intended for 8+, so everything in the library must be appropriate.

For sprites, I think what they have in mind is ones where it looks less “Either I'm new, can't draw, or both so I just found this and slapped it on this background, which I also found and slapped on the project.” but I'm still confused about the sounds.

Maybe they could do a community spriting contest and add the best ones? I support this 100%, would be nice to have more realistic sprites with animations to use in games like platformers etc.
