Support.
I would never use this but I can see how it could be helpful.

…Right, because people are invariably incapable of using Google until they've been on Scratch for at least a month, at shortest. Totally. This might be a bit too advanced for newer users, but I think this would be a cool addition.
I can Google, but I'm not allowed to.
Also, what's an onion skin?

basically, an onion skin makes it so you can see the frames before/after your current frame so you can make it smooth (I'm talking about the animation) it is commonly used for 2D animation

This would be so useful when you are making a walking animation for a game

There should be a button called “Turn On Onion Skins”, but if this doesn't get implemented, use Eloctraysd's onion skin engine.

Bump.
Also I completely support this idea. I'm trying to start an animation account, and this would be insanely helpful. Let me tell you, it gets annoying to go back to the last costume every couple seconds because you need to make sure that your moving it just the right amount. It probably should be an option though, just so new users don't get confused and people who aren't animating don't get frustrated. I can't think of one reason why not off the top of my head.

Sorry, I think this is a duplicate. My question is simple (so sorry if someone already asked about this). Will Scratch ever add onion skins? If they did, that would be so awesome XD lol…just saying. You should be able to turn it on and off. For those who don't know what an onion skin is, it's the option to show a ghost image of the previous costume on the drawing screen, without it actually being part of that costume. It's very useful for animation. I've tried to use Pencil and import files into Scratch, but it never seems to work, the formatting is weird, etc. I'm not trying to ask too much, but this addition would make a huge difference to me. Duplicate1, Duplicate2, Duplicate3, Duplicate4.
Thanks for listening,
~Luki
Edit: Never mind, THOSE are duplicates.

How has the Scratch Team STILL not noticed this? It's a seven-year-old topic that is still active.
