Either highway or freeway, depends on the size. If it has like 5+ lanes it's a freeway, any less then it's a highway
Actually, now that you've said that, I realise that's basically what I do.
It also depends on what the people in the area usually call it, since I'll just call it “Highway _insert number here_” or “On the freeway of _insert street name or whatever it is here_”

According to Wikipedia its called that sometimes because of the fox's association with trickery. Some other cultures also associate it with tricksters thus the “The Devil's Beating His Wife”.

1. Soft drink or fizzy drink. Sometimes just “fizzy” if I'm feeling very casual
2. We tend to get these from Subway a lot so I generally call it that, but to apply it to non-Subway sandwiches: probably just sandwich or even a roll.
3. Pee-can.
4. With a short ‘a’ and a hard ‘g’. I had no idea people pronounced it differently from that to be honest.
5. My personal term is “raining sunshine”, but it's not widespread.
6. IDK, sports shoes?
7. Highway I guess, but more often I'd just call it a road.

What is a generic term for a carbonated beverage?
Usually a “soft drink”, but I also sometimes call it a “fizzy drink”, because fizzy is really fun to say.
What do you call a long sandwich that contains cold cuts, lettuce, etc?
Just a sandwich…
How do you pronounce pecan?
Pea-can.
How do you pronounce bag?
B-air-g (but without the r)
What do you call it when it rains while the sun is still shining?
Wet sun. (inside joke)
What do you call a rubber soled shoe worn in gym class?
Sometimes, I call them sneakers. Sometimes, I call them shoes.
What do you call a long road that many cars drive on?
A freeway.

I don’t want to appear mean or anything, but “coke”? Really? The fact that some people associate any kind of soda with Coca-cola just irks me. There’s Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite etc. and most of them taste nothing like cola.

Actually Cola's name comes from the term

I mean then again if people are going to start calling “soda” by a brand of soda it makes sense to call it coke. Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, and Sprite are all good sodas, but they are no where near as popular as Coca Cola. The only one you could argue about being as popular as coke would be Pepsi.

Yeah, but it's like calling any kind of video game console “PlayStation”. It's just a pet peeve of mine.

You arent understanding what I'm saying. I meant the term came first and Coca-Cola got its name from it. Also Cola own Sprite and Pepsi sucks.
