Anyone else here do carpentry? I've made a few things out of wood and any one who wants to showcase any of their's may do so here.

I did, when I had carpentry classes about a year ago. I don't really do it anymore because I don't have the tools or setup at my house.

I never took a class. I kinda just took advice from my dad and cut out some wood, sanded, and painted it. I started when making a shield for a Halloween costume.

Do you like to make stuff out of wood? I mostly do small things every now and then.

I built myself a workbench using mostly scrap MDF I found in a skip.
Admittedly there's a load of stuff on it and some bags in front of it (I should probably have taken the photo before starting to pack for my holiday…) so the pic isn't great. There's a black curtain underneath it to conceal my casting rig when I'm not using it:

Cool! I haven't made anything practical yet but I do have the pieces for a Treasure Chest type thing for storing whatever in. I still need a hinge and to paint it but after that I will take pictures and post that up here.

I once made a CO2 car out of wood. The wheels don't spin well, so it's more of a show piece.

That's cool I had never thought of doing something that had a purpose.

I don't normally work with wood so it's not particularly pretty (although to be fair it's also not proper wood - just MDF). I needed something that would fit that corner and after building it the only way to get it out of the room would be the window!

Themed after the Medievil Shields from the old Playstation game. I think I spelled it right it's not quite the proper spelling of Medieval but I don't know how to spell it.

I used to build my own furniture and all (Bookshelves, seating, chests) and had a lot of fun with it but I live in a small apartment now and I don't think my neighbors would appreciate it. I do set design for our local theater when I can though, it's a nice compromise.

I know where I live, at least, there's an annual (Maybe bi-annual?) program where volunteers can work together to help make repairs/renovations on local needy/elderly people's homes. I had lots of fun with it last year!

I built a lot of the Ikea furniture in my room, or at least helped.

Something new coming soon! I have another sword that should be finished by the end of next week. It's currently being difficult though so don't expect it too soon.
