Here’s some of my ideas (you’ll probably notice a pattern lol)

1.1 JRR Tolkien Day (Jan 3): Write a 300 word story about WWI or the Roaring Twenties.
1.2 JRR Tolkien Day (Jan 5): Reading through The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, it becomes clear that Tolkien loves to incorporate original songs that complement the world of Middle Earth. Write a 150 (or 200?) word song to fit in another world. It can be your own world, or someone else’s (like Middle Earth for example).

2. National Bird Day (Jan 5). Ever wonder what birds are always singing about? Write a 200 word poem (it can be prose ;) of a bird’s song. (It can be a good morning, good night, or about the rain).

3. Remember the days of play pretend, with dolls, Lego, or pirate ships? Think back to an imaginary world you made (or make one up), and write a 300-word story about a character in that world.

I’ll add more later :)

Also I think I can do the weekly 18-24, part 3

alright out of this list of dailies each person needs to choose 3 to write a final draft for:

- come up with a survival plan for if there was every a zombie apocalypse. Now write a story about you or some other character trying to follow that plan.

- Remember the days of play pretend, with dolls, Lego, or pirate ships? Think back to an imaginary world you made (or make one up), and write a 300-word story about a character in that world.

- Write about characters who know they’re trapped in a story… and don’t want to be

- Write a 300 word story about WWI or the Roaring Twenties.

- crossovers. Write about if two of your favorite fictional characters met and about one of the mishaps they have or a conversation between them.

- write a recipe for a concept or idea like happiness or success. use things like ingredients and what amounts and orders they would be added in as well as instructions for baking and serving.

- (January 2nd) National science fiction day! Write a science fiction story

- National Bird Day (Jan 5). Ever wonder what birds are always singing about? Write a 200 word poem (it can be prose of a bird’s song. (It can be a good morning, good night, or about the rain). (add more to this and finalize it more)

- write a story from the perspective of an animal such as a cat, bird, or dog.

if you have not yet suggested dailies, please do so! also state here in the forum what dailies you're going to do before starting to write them <3

Meow! Bark! Chirp! Haven't you always wondered what’s going on in an animal's brain? Animals are fascinating and how they behave and communicate with one another is quite interesting as well. Today you get to write about yourself from the perspective of an animal. Pick anything from a random frog on a windowsill to a blue whale swimming through the depths of the ocean. Write a 450 word narrative for 300 points. Provide proof for an extra 100 points. Now get to it!

Hey, can anybody get me out of here? I'm kinda tired of being stuck in this book. I just want to get back home. For this daily write about a character that knows they are trapped in a story. But the catch is that they don't want to be there. Write a 350 word story for 200 points. Provide proof in the comments for 100 extra points. Good luck!

A cup of hard work and a teaspoon of dedication as well as a dash of motivation. These are some of the ingredients for the recipe to success. Now go and write a 150 word recipe for a concept or idea such as happiness or true love. Include things like ingredients, amounts, and orders. Instructions for baking and serving should also be included. You get 200 points for this daily and an extra 100 for proof.

What's that… oh! It's just the pink sky! From Star Wars to The Martian, science fiction writing has captured the imaginations of many. What better way to celebrate that than on National Science Fiction Day? That's right, it's time to travel to other universes- from space academies to exploring other planets, there is something in this genre for everybody. For this daily write xxx words of any type of science fiction story for xxx points.

If there was a zombie apocalypse… would you be prepared? Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore, since today we're going to be taking care of writing out a plan to survive the apocalypse. First, write a plan about how you would survive the zombie apocalypse. Then, write xxx words of yourself or a fictional character attempting to follow that plan for xxx words. Best of luck, and don't get zombie-fied ;D

Hear that chirping outside? Yup- it's the birds! Ever wonder what they're singing about: lost love, the morning, the promise of food? Well, today you get to answer that question for yourself. Write a xxx word poem about what makes those birds outside sing for xxx points!

Here is my weekly part
january 11-17
Section 1: Making your characters (Campers will make at least 2 character bios with personality traits about each one)

Hey everybody! So in order to write a short story you first need to create interesting characters. After all they are the most important part of your story. For the first section here write at least two bios for character's for a total of xxx words. Make sure to include personality traits and other interesting details. Here's an example below.
Name: Sage Atoll
Age: 17
Physical Description: Tall with long wavy brown hair and hazel eyes. She usually wears mechanics overalls and her favorite boots.
Likes: reading, running, sweets, fixing and building things
Dislikes: bugs, crowds, and bananas
Personality Traits: shy around people she doesn't know, caring, a bit of a short temper, likes to listen to others talk
