Beacuse they no longer work on forum, only on forum signature.

The original name of “loves” was “love-its”. Technically speaking, this hasn't changed.

This is because of the forum update. Basically, the Scratch Team added the string "scratch.mit.edu/get_image" to the mainsite filter at some point, and the forums update added the mainsite filter to forum posts alongside the DjangoBB filter previously used, so it's now blocked here as well. There aren't plans to fix it because it wasn't meant to be used for this purpose.
