If the Scratch Team bans someone's account permanently, they should let the banned user download their projects, so they don't lose all of the work they've put into their projects.
Now one of the reasons they could be banned is for inappropriate projects/comments. Now if they download those they might post it into another kids web/website. Or they might just make another account and post it.
But Scratch Team could check through their projects, delete the inappropriate ones and let them download the safe/normal projects. But it takes way to long for it to be manually done so they could automate it?
Basically, semi-support, it depends if Scratch Team would give some of their time to check through the banned person's projects (which they probably wont have time for as they need to solve bugs/issues on the site).
So yea if you're reading this, thanks for reading.

I agree that this should be an option as long as they didn't get banned for inappropriate projects, because then they could just sign up with a different email, and re-upload the projects that got them banned. not sure how to feel about this suggestion. on one hand, i can totally see how this makes sense in regards to letting users save their projects. but on the other hand, there’s nothing stopping users from ban evading and reuploading their projects to their ban evaded account.

semi-support
users get banned for a reason, most of the time that reason is because of their projects
if the account isn’t planned for deletion then the user can just go back on their profile and download their projects
maybe just an archive of unshared projects, backpack archive would be nice too

If you are banned there should be some kind of appeal button, but if there is an inappropriate username that individual should get a choice; get banned or change their username.

Forum tips:
Don't post in topics where the latest post is over ~2 months old, unless you have something critical to add. Especially in topics that are several years old- it isn't helpful, and is known as necroposting.
Don't post unrelated things in topics, including questions of your own. Make a new topic for your questions.

Contact us is basically ban appeal. If you are banned there should be some kind of appeal button, but if there is an inappropriate username that individual should get a choice; get banned or change their username.
Still the topic is about downloading projects from a banned account. Not only inappropriate usernames ban but all types of ban.

they could also always download the project, post it, get banned, and then make a new account and repost itI agree that this should be an option as long as they didn't get banned for inappropriate projects, because then they could just sign up with a different email, and re-upload the projects that got them banned. If you did something that didn’t deserve you to be completely exiled from the website forever, they will unban you eventually if you appeal. If you did something to the point where you can’t appeal, you deserve to lose your projects. I’ve been banned before and I still uphold this belief.
