Permabans are extremely rare and are only served in the most extreme cases (plus you're allowed to appeal them, just word your report correctly and admit to your faults.)What about IP bans?
Either download all your projects and save them as a backup beforehand or use Scratch as it was meant to be used.

Someone who did do wrong can download their inappropriate project onto another kids site..This seems to be the major drawback here, but it's time to answer them all in one reply…

dont just say “dont ban evade” or “wrong topic” for a question. answer it, and THEN tell them that this is the wrong topic or not to ban evade. giving just “rejected” and putting the college essay that is TOLORS is not enough. Explain! dont just use ctrl-c ctrl-v! even if it is not what some people want, explain the rejection! answer the question! the forums are not a place to repeat others, they are a place to innovate! anyway who wants to minimod?
scratchers on the forums from 10-500 posts have at most, a 7 short sentence span for replies. if you cant keep your posts in this range, then dont act suprised when someone asks for simplified version

If the Scratch Team bans someone's account permanently, they should let the banned user download their projects, so they don't lose all of the work they've put into their projects.
Now one of the reasons they could be banned is for inappropriate projects/comments. Now if they download those they might post it into another kids web/website. Or they might just make another account and post it.
But Scratch Team could check through their projects, delete the inappropriate ones and let them download the safe/normal projects. But it takes way to long for it to be manually done so they could automate it?
Basically, semi-support, it depends if Scratch Team would give some of their time to check through the banned person's projects (which they probably wont have time for as they need to solve bugs/issues on the site).

If the Scratch Team bans someone's account permanently, they should let the banned user download their projects, so they don't lose all of the work they've put into their projects.I agree that this should be an option as long as they didn't get banned for inappropriate projects, because then they could just sign up with a different email, and re-upload the projects that got them banned.
