Another answer like the others. I'd like for this to be true as it would save a lot of certain efforts on my part, and it would appear that your answer as well as other similar answers on this thread point things in that direction, but there still appear to be some challenges to this, such as the quote from Paddle2See that I mentioned earlier.

And then he goes on to cite ToU section 4.4. I wouldn't necessarily say that such a statement necessarily ends this discussion, nor does it mean that you are wrong, but this statement does seem to differ from what posts within this thread (including yours) have told me.

As I note, this quote does not necessarily end this discussion, since there are still things that should be debated (and I have yet to have a Scratch Team member or at least someone with almost as much knowledge as a Scratch Team member to post something on this thread), but it does indicate that there are certain challenges to the common answers. I appreciate the answers I have been getting, but this thread still has not reached a proper conclusion. For all I know, I might never get an answer that is as conclusive as I would like, and I might have to go with whatever I decide on, but for now this thread continues.

Usually when you have TOUs or TOSs they usually start with a list of definitions defining what means what so no loopholes or confusion of usage right/privilege. The issue here is the lack of definitions. What is the scratch editor defined as? What is scratch defined as? What qualifies a version of scratch as “unmodified?”

As long as you don't upload projects which contain blocks that don't exist in Scratch, you should be good to go. Currently 71,800+ people are using a browser extension for Scratch that modifies the editor and probably none of them have ever received alerts for this.

That's what I’d like to think. And that's what people have been telling me. But I have yet to have someone cite something which verifies this statement.

That may be true, but there could be certain explanations for that which do not necessarily verify your conclusion. The fact that you have said “probably” indicates some uncertainty. I'm not saying that you're wrong, nor that similar answers are wrong, but that there are still certain holes which have not been filled.

If they did receive alerts - the users would probably tell about this to the developers of the extension.

Okay, so I was actually reviewing the TOS a few hours ago, and it says this:

This just means that your project cannot contain any blocks that are not in Scratch or don't work in Scratch. Technically, the “hacked blocks” are created partially with Scratch; ST just doesn't like it because it confuses New Scratchers (like me).

The section doesn't mention blocks. It just mentions projects and editors.
