Age requirement, taking to friends, help with projects and fame

1. Is there an age requirement for scratch?

2. Can you make a private message to someone from scratch?

3. Can someone help you in scratch by making stuff for you in a project and you just copy it and put it in your project?

4. Do you need to be famous to have your project in the explore tab?

You may not see a common appearance of me in the forums, but remember,

every announcement, every introduction, every request, every link, every idea, every collaboration, every question, every suggestion, every bug, every advancing, every connection, every extension, every open, every creation, every reading, every playing,

has been in my sight once.

  1. No, although Scratch is designed for people 8+.
  2. No, although you can comment on the user's profile at the near bottom of the page.
  3. Yes, although you do have to give credit to the user in the Notes and Credits section of the project page. (read this for more info on giving credit)
  4. No, although your project may have to be very good and very popular to be visible there.
Anyway, in the future, please make separate topics for your questions, that way each question can get the attention it needs.

These questions are very simple and don't need separate topics each.

guide to make good projects <3

Think! Is saying if you support a suggestion necessary? No! People can just tell by your constructive post after it. You have more freedom on your tone!
Forumers, especially new, may also get upset if you say “no support!!!” at them! They may take the whole post in a negative tone, and that makes them upset!
Instead, you can kindly say why their suggestion has cons. They will take it as “constructive criticism” and be happy. - dertermenter

1. No, and there will never be (I hope!)
2. Nope, the Scratch Team has rejected that idea (or in other words, basically said ‘this isn’t a good idea' due to the potential for content that breaks the scratch rules)
3. Yes, as long as you give credit.
4. Your project has to have had 100+ views, more than 10+ loves and favourites, and be shared recently. (these aren't taken from anywhere and are just guesses)

Here are some of my followers!

I joined: 5 years, 9 months, 24 days ago (31/03/2018)
I have: 479 followers
In total, I have attained: 1,403 loves, 1,145 favourites, and 33,731 views.
Fun Fact: If my account continued to gain followers at a similar rate to right now, in 14,210 years I would reach the number of followers griffpatch has today! Try to imagine how many followers he would have then!
Thank you everyone!

1. Scratch is welcoming to people of all ages but I wouldn't recommend allowing really young children (i.e. toddlers) to use the site, if that isn't already obvious.
2. You can never private message someone on this site.
3. Yes, you can use someone else's stuff in this scenario, but you should give credit.
4. Yeah, it should be a well-known project for it to appear in Explore, but I'm not aware of any minimum requirements for these projects.

1. No, but the site is designed for 8-16, but all ages are welcome.
2. No, and it will never happen.
3. Yes, there's even a whole forum for asking, just be sure to give credit.
4. No, just the project, unless you are looking at the Recent filter, which shows recently shared projects.
