Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor and Spike Prime Extensions

Introduction

Scratch already has an extension for Lego Mindstorms EV3. However, it's discontinued (except for the education model, which has 1 month left). Fortunately, Lego has released two new robotics sets: Mindstorms Robot Inventor (for personal use) and Spike Prime (for education). The Intelligent Hubs are identical, the only major difference is the firmware. All motors and sensors are interchangeable between the two sets.

Blocks

Most of the blocks available in the EV3 extension will be available with the new extension(s).

Those blocks would deal with the internal gyro sensor in the hub.
The following blocks would be removed.

Questions and Answers

Q. Will the EV3 extension stay or will it be removed?
A. It will remain for a little bit before going the way of the Picoboard and WeDo 1.0.

Q. Will it be 1 extension or 2 similar extensions.
A. Whatever the ST wants to do. If they want to do 1 extension it will have to detect which hub is connected. If they do 2 separate extensions then the color could match the color of the hub. Example:

Q. How is this necessary? The default language is already based on Scratch,
A. 1. In the later years of the EV3's life it also had a language based on Scratch as it's default. 2. The default language doesn't allow interaction with Scratch projects and 3. WeDo and EV3 also have extensions.

Full support, people can't properly use the extension properly, if they don't have proper access then they can't use it. (I get annoyed when Lego Sets get retired, but I guess it has to happen…)

Yes, it should be implemented, I love it when Scratch exits the limited screen and speaker and is connected to the physical world.

I thought Robot inventor was Mindstorms EV1…
Anyways, it should be 2 different extensions since Spike Prime isn't really Mindstorms. Support since not everyone buys some old lego set from 2013/2016.
