As far as I know nobody has ever gotten access to an account without getting hold of the password.
But even if you could hack another Scratch account, you shouldn't.

Yes, you can hack someone’s account. However, if you keep your password safe and secure, you’ll have a much smaller chance of being hacked. The exploits found that can be used to hack accounts are usually found by the good guys. so that’s not too big a problem. Keep your password safe, and you’ll be safe.

Yes, it's possible. Scratch isn't perfect, and never will be. Don't try to log into someone else's account, and keep your password safe and strong, and you would be fine.
aII toasters toast toast, but what happens when there are no longer toasters being produced? will their technology simply become obsolete, with humans moving onto bigger, better things? will toast become a distant memory, written in textbooks of the future as foods us simpler generations ate? who's to say! society is constantly moving, changing, evolving, ideas being built upon, improved upon, theories being proven or disproven. are we but a blip on the timeline? sure, our names may not be remembered, but that's not the point. you can make a change. you can make a difference. you can make the world better, even if you don't know yet. and the first step is to go for it. even if you are afraid of failure. going back to the example of toasters, do you know off the top of your head who invented them? no? have you used one? probably. so, even if you don't remember my name, if I was able to help awnser your question, that is enough. if I was able to help you, even in the slightest way, this could push you to continue with scratch and not give up after the program crashes, and maybe one day learn other programming languages and change the world. everything is a cause and effect reaction, new inventions lead to the technology of the future, and even as the generations of the past are slowly forgotten, their influence lives on to this day, affecting how the world eventually turned out and how it will be for generations to come.
and, without toasters, we wouldn't have toast.

You can, but it defies ethics.
Here's SSB20's guide to a secure password:
1. Take your favorite sports team.
2. Take your favorite food and add it.
3. Put your favorite number in the middle.
There you have it! Someone would easily guess “qwerty”, but no one would ever guess something as complex as that right off the bat.
btw that's not my password so don't try it

Here's my guide to making an ULTRA secure password:
Vegetable
Turns out that most passwords aren't broken through brute-force one account at a time, but rather gigabyte-sized leaks, so you're better off making a password you can remember and a human can't just randomly guess. It's like a nuclear cold war; you're fairly safe from dying in a war, but if you do, everybody dies

If you don't is the answer, it's best to say nothing. Otherwise, so many users would say “I don't know” for each question that it would be lots of spam, and the answer to the question underneath the spam.

I haven't really been active much since 2021. I now mostly look at / help with other people's projects, answer questions on the forums and work on stuff in other programming languages like JavaScript. Scratch is still awesome and I don't think I'll be leaving it any time soon. <3
Check out ocular, a Scratch forum search tool by jeffalo that helps find lost posts, or the Hidden Blocks TurboWarp extension I helped create that has a bunch of useful hacked blocks ready to add to your Scratch projects. (PR for details, see the Hidden Blocks category to the left of the editor.)

According to @ceebee, nobody on Scratch has ever been “hacked” on Scratch. People have forgotten to sign out of shared computers, or had an easily guessable password (so other people have logged into their account), but nobody has been hacked. I hope this answers your question.

Real actual hacking doesn't happen, however, something called social engineering is the most common way people hack everywhere. You just have to trick the account owner into giving you their password. That's literally it. Whether it be sharing accounts, guessing passwords, or tricking people, they all fall under social engineering.

I know 4 random words would be a good password if you have a secure password, log off shared computers and don't give out your password you'll be fine.

there is no way to hack accounts that's known right now, and if there was some kind of zero-day known right now i doubt anyone would post it here.
there actually have been a few vulnerabilities with the ability to “hack” your account, but the people who've found them have responsibility disclosed them to the scratch team before they could be used for anything bad.
the closest thing to “hacking” a scratch account would be password guessing which is pretty simple and harmless if you have a good password.
lets say theres a user named “pizza”, their password could be “i i like pizza” or something like that.
as others have stated, you can also find people's passwords through large data breaches, but in the end, nobody really cares about your scratch account enough to go through the effort.

I don't think words are the best passwords, i think random characters are betterthis website to create secure passwordsyou can also use AcknowledgeImport6?!&

AbN*S??!-ooLosa0!
And also, that website isn't entirely random, each random algorithm is followed by a pattern (i. e. x+1-x/4 )
So if a hacker can break that website, (or just a nerd looking into the developer tools > sources), they can easily just guess every password combination.
It's better just to create your own randomised-character password, and never trust google password suggestions (unless they actually do get their randomness like cloudflare does)
Btw, cloudflare gets their randomness from pictures, literal lava lamp pictures.
