People pretend to be on the scratch team! hundreds of people had this problem before. why??? explain here if you are one of the fakers please.

If you notice someone who is impersonating a Scratch Team member, immediately report any part of their user profile where they attempt to claim that they are an ST member, and, if necessary, any relevant comments or forum posts.

You can always tell a real ST member from a fake one because of the * character after their usernames - this character cannot be in a username, so only the real ST has it.

I meant that the fake scratchteamer said he could do scratchteam things and just ended up tricking the entire community!

That doesn't change anything. You should still report anyone who impersonates the ST.

And if you want to know why someone would lie about being part of the ST, it's generally for the same reason that trolls troll: to have fun at other people's expense.

If there is not an * at the end of there username, or it says Scratcher or New Scratcher instead of Scratch team, they are not apart of the Scratch Team. If they are impersonating the ST, report them.
