I don't really like Pikachu. It's not great when compared to other Pokemon, even though the anime makes it out to be a god amongst Pokemon.

Fun Fact: If you are a furry and claim that there is nothing wrong with your fanbase, then you are deluding yourself.

I think the anime stresses how important it is to also share a bond with your Pokémon, more than the games or TCG do. Ash has a huge bond with his Pikachu, so that's probably the case.

Also Pikachu is the face of Pokémon, especially for people who aren't aware of what else the franchise has.

I did since then but I think it’s back down because my brother was on it a lot yesterday
EDIT: my brother plugged it in this morning and it’s currently at 75%
