You know what, an Adventures animated adaptation would be really cool. There's some things i don't like about it, but it would be way more entertaining than the regular anime. Probably won't ever happen, though.

• I remember when the movie trailer was first released, that a lot of people objected to the style because it was so different from how they normally looked. Now, people are used to it, although I still feel a little bit different about the Pokémon that don't have any fur like Charizard and Samurott. Even though Samurott is all the way in Gen V, there is still no particular generation the movie takes place in.
  
  
• Zoroark and Zorua would be great to see in the movie. I have to think they would give them a more furry style like Pikachu and Jigglypuff and basically not Samurott. Zoroark already seems like it's supposed to be covered in fur, so it wouldn't be surprising if that happened.

There are Detective Pikachu ads popping up everywhere and it's terrifying. I don't really find that much reason to hype for it, but some of the Pokémon do look pretty good. I love Emolga, Charizard, Audino, Ludicolo, and Magikarp. But I'd still rather see more information about Sword and Shield.

I do want to see more releases about SWSH, and I also like how some of the Pokémon look, and I think I'll see the movie and take note of how the rest of them look.


I know it's ironic that I'm posting this here along with a post saying there's too much merchandise, but I found this video and I want to share it. There's just something very strange about an adult hugging a Ryan Reynolds Pikachu and then rating it 4.5/5 stars.

The Detective Pikachu movie will actually be the fifth Pokémon movie I'll have watched. (As long as I actually watch it.) The four before that were the movies about Keldeo, Hoopa, Arceus, and Latios & Latias, in that order.
