Vivaldi?

Vivaldi always runs on the latest chromium, so why's it called an “older” browser, while it supports all that chrome does?

I think you might be a bit confused here. Opera is currently based off of Chromium, but Vivaldi is actually an offshoot of classic Opera, before Opera transitioned to being Chromium-based.

If I'm correct Vivaldi also uses Chromium, but has features Opera had before switching to Chromium. That basically means Vivaldi is using the same engine as Opera, but with the style Opera had before switch to Chromium.

It's a shame that Scratch doesn't allow Vivaldi or Opera and there's basically no reason to do this since they are modern browser which should work without problems. Especially since they are so similar to Chrome.

Vivaldi?

Vivaldi does use chromium. I've tested with a user agent changer, Scratch works perfectly fine.

They actually changed the way their “old browser” system works – it should let you use Vivaldi and other browsers based on Chromium (among any others that support all the JS/HTML5 features that Scratch uses). I'm not sure if they have released that change to the Scratch site yet though.

Yeah, they changed that. I can access Scratch with Vivaldi (and Opera) now. I'm so happy this was changed.
