Python_megapixel’s idea (edited a bit)
Currently we are wiping all current representatives so now is the perfect time for a change. Maybe, we thought, instead of choosing representatives we could just have shops vote as a whole. So, basically, shops still get the same number of votes as the amount of representatives they would have. But, instead of all of their reps voting individually they make a decision together. Then, they will pass the vote onto us and and we will count it. Much more simple and less need for a very clogged SPA thread.

Also, shops should give their ‘preferences’. So, for example, let’s say I’m voting in an election. I vote for Example1. But, Example1 gets crushed . So, all of my votes go to Example2. But, Example2 can no longer win either! Then my votes go to Example3. Once only 2 candidates remain those 2 candidates are polled against each other including preferences and we get a winner. So here is an example:
Candidate 1: 5% of vote.
Candidate 2: 50% of vote.
Candidate 3: 30% of vote.
Candidate 4: 15% of vote.
So, candidate 1 is ruled out. 80% of people who voted for them chose Candidate 3 as second preference and the remaining 20% chose 4 as second preference so we get this:
Candidate 2: 50% of vote.
Candidate 3: 34% of vote.
Candidate 4: 16% of vote.
Oh noes! Candidate 4 is ruled out! Here’s a little twist. The people who chose 4 as second and 1 as first all chose 3 as second, and all of 4’s normal voters chose candidate 3 as second preference. So we get:
Candidate 2: 50% of vote.
Candidate 3: 50% of vote.
Obviously such preference bias would not happen, but this is an example. As you can see, it benefits what people’s second choices are. In my opinion it is more democratic.
