The message thingie was very unexpected for me! It works beautifully and smoothly. One of my greatest joys in life is actually answering messages in my bed as soon as I wake up in the morning, so I do work a lot on my iPod!
The new massage box was one of those things that you didn't know you wanted until you got it, and boy does it deliver! ^^
Thanks so much ST, this is so much more professional and organized!

My only suggestions for the next update is to be able to mark (or bookmark) messages that you need to come back to (this would be efficient for contest invites, and popular scratchers who want to sort out their priority mail.), a mode where you type in a scratcher's username and it only shows messages relating to that scratcher, (Example, I type in somebody like @phbug and it only shows me the links he/she posts on my profile for his/her new intro sequences), and more options (an example being never seeing studio activity. I think a lot of people would cry from happiness if that was real!).

These are just suggestions though! I'm currently very please with all the new changes made, and look foreword even more to receiving mail so that I can see the true potential of the update and all it has to offer.

i hope nobody rants about this like they did about the discuss button. you guys worked 3 hours on this change, and you sure worked hard on this update! though it may take time to getting used to, it will be okay! i am the side account of frances2005.

i wanted to add that people shouldn't rant on this, because it was a good thing it was added. are the alerts going to be mixed in with the messages? because i think the alerts should have a different column for that.
a glitch i noticed was that when you went to messages, a notification for messages pops up in the mail icon, but when you click it, there is no new messages.

same here on that glitch. BTW people already are going on about how they want the old one back

Thanks for the question about alerts :] We currently are hiding all past alerts. If you receive a new alert, it will show up in your news feed. You can then dismiss that alert forever.

I think it might nice if when you hover over the icon, the messages displayed but only took up a tiny portion of the page, a bit like when you click on griffpatch's messages extension.

For those who asked about alerts: Paddle2See said that if you can get one, you can dismiss it forever, so now instead of it haunting you for the rest of your Scratch time, you can finally learn from your mistakes.
