Report projects that say "no remixing"?
The Scratch Wiki section on remixing ( https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Remix ) says we should report projects that say “no remixing”.
Is that official? 'Coz there are zillions of those out there - it seems like all new Scratchers think they need to protect their projects from being stolen.

I wouldn't bother. They are just going to get a notice asking them to remove that line. Don't waste your time on stuff like that.

Yes, report that sort of thing. People saying “don't remix!” creates a hostile environment for remixers - which is something that the Scratch Team definitely wants to avoid, as one of the largest points of Scratch is building on others' work.

Report projects that say "no remixing"?
The Scratch Wiki section on remixing ( https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Remix ) says we should report projects that say “no remixing”.It depends upon the situation. If they are stopping remixes just because they don't want copies of it, report. If they are saying that because it is a test, or unfinished, or supposed to remain secretive, don't report.

Report projects that say "no remixing"?
I think that you shouldn't report people who say “Don't Remix” they just want it to be one of a kind and special so it's really unnecessary to Report something like that!

I think that you shouldn't report people who say “Don't Remix” they just want it to be one of a kind and special so it's really unnecessary to Report something like that! No, it is reportable. By sharing your project on Scratch you agree to allow remixes.
BUT - be careful of context. If people say “Don't remix without changing something!” this is both allowed and true. In fact, remixes that violate this rule should be reported themselves.
I am sympathetic to the arguments for a no-remix feature, because it is EXTREMELY annoying to have your project passed off as someone else's and receiving no credit

Thankfully, my projects are apparently so bad that no-one views them, let alone steals them. (If anyone would like to remedy this, feel absolutely free to go to my profile and find them).

Yes, I have put on a couple of mine ‘Please don’t remix without making some sort of upgrade and please give credit to me for mine.'I think that you shouldn't report people who say “Don't Remix” they just want it to be one of a kind and special so it's really unnecessary to Report something like that! No, it is reportable. I REALLY don't like it when people copy-remix, and I usually report copies straight away. If someone remixes and changes something which is enough for the remix to be valid, but they haven't given credit, I ask them kindly for credit and usually they do add it.
I think your projects are really good! Don't put yourself down.

If it is unfinished or private, could they just unshare it until it is done?

Report projects that say "no remixing"?
It depends on the context. If someone says, No remixing or else, that is definitely reportable. However if they have something along the lines of, Please don't remix unless (list of things they would like other people to do one of them if they remix), is okay. However it mostly depends on their context. If someone who puts do not remix tells a remixer to take their remix down then that's definitely reportable.

If it says “Please don't remix”, it's reportable.
If it says “Please don't remix without changing anything”, it's okay.

Report projects that say "no remixing"?
No. Because they may not know that you can't tell people to not remix their project. You should try warning them but don't threaten them that you will report them if they don't take down that line. If you tell them and they don't listen or respond with harshness, then report them. And as i said, don't threaten them ‘cause you will only make the problem worse. Same with criticizing. Criticizing can actually stress people out and just fuel their flames. When people criticize me, whenever i think about them i just wanna get revenge. So best not to cause a bunch of other problems. You should also see if the person who said “no remixing” in there project is a new scratcher. if they aren’t, check how old the project is. It could just be an old one they made as a new scratcher and forgot about. Check when it was last modified as well. If it was a long time ago, then chances are it was pretty much forgotten about.

^ why would you ever threaten to report somebody? it's a waste of time and fuels the flames. the correct course of action is always to just report something without alerting the person being reported.

Yeah I'd just give that project a nice fat remix. Then tell them that it's against the guidelines. (Rules that must be adhered to or you'll get the the harsh soft-spoken words from the ST)

Report projects that say "no remixing"?
I wouldn't report that, some people don't want their projects remixed because they want it to be unique and sometimes they don't change things and sometimes they change things and don't have anything to do with the original projects. I am apart of the Scratch Wiki, so I need to ask about that after I read the article.
I read the article, I'm not going to edit it because I don't see any reason to. But I might ask the person who wrote the article where they got the information from.

What i would say is don't report it, IF you want to remix a project and it says it, just do it because they probably mean "Don't remix unless you are going to change something.
