A guide to suggestions

Please could you say in the first post, ‘If you want to suggest something, please make a new topic in the suggestions forum about your idea.’
Also can you say ‘Please put your idea in the title of your suggestion instead of something like ’suggestion' or ‘please add this scratch team’ or
'I think this would improve scratch' This helps with other scratchers who are searching the forums to check that nobody has suggested their idea
which you might have already suggested but they can't find it because of the title.'

Thanks for the suggestion! I modified the OP a bit; is it better?

Don't you just hate when people advertise in their signatures (and raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip ones. That's just not okay).

Thanks, Maybe we could find somewhere to put the second part of my post (the bit about titles) somewhere, as well? I've been having that problem for
a while now.

Do you think you can update the OP by replacing the “constructive replies” and “suggestions directory” stickies with the links https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/212098/ and https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/212472/ , respectively?

how do you request projects to be featured?

Hey! Please don't quote the OP. It makes the page really long! Ahh!
-
If you have a question, please make a brand new topic in Questions About Scratch. Also, you can suggest projects here.

Oops, so sorry that I missed this! Anyway, I added in something about titling your post; is that kind of like what you were saying?

Sorry I missed this! Anyway, I have updated the post so that the links lead to the current stickied topics. Thanks for telling me that they've changed!

Why don't we update the Scratch website to Scratch 2.1? The Scratch Team would do the updating. I have this project for the Scratch Team to use as and aid: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/25399772/

It will be awesome. We will have a new version of Scratch!

Hi! I don't think that the Scratch Team is currently planning any new updates to Scratch 2.0 (actually, if I remember correctly, they're already working on Scratch 3.0). And anyway, the Scratch Team will not see any suggestions posted here - instead, please create a new topic from within the suggestions forum.

Quick question about the titling thing.. what about multiple suggestions in one post?

lh70 / nora/tobi / she-they pronouns / pansexual-demisexual / 14 / sagittarius / furry / artist / intp / stop-motion films / lbp / fall out boy / panic! at the disco / twenty one pilots / stranger things / a series of unfortunate events

Just use a title that covers all of them, like Better Custom Blocks (3 suggestions, but they all relate to the same thing). If you can't do that without making it really generic, they probably shouldn't be in the same topic.

Hi.

I had a suggestion for Scratch. Could it be possible for the Scratch server to detect proxies so that users who have got a IP ban can't use a proxy to continue their trouble?

Thanks.

Hi!

Please make your suggestions in a new thread in the suggestions form, not on this thread .

Can something about supporting/semi supporting/no supporting topics be added to this? Here's a few things that could be added:

If you find a suggestion you like, feel free to say you support it and give reasons why you support it!
If you find a suggestion you kind of like but don't think it would be that big of a problem if it wasn't implemented, feel free to give semi-support.
If you find a suggestion you don't like, you can give no support. Remember to always give a reason why you don't support, even if it's something like “No support for reasons above”. It's also very important to be respectful about what you don't support, don't just say “No support because your suggestion sucks”, you have a high chance of getting an alert.
It's okay if you're the only one who has a certain opinion on a topic. But please be respectful about this, don't brag about being the first person who doesn't support.

I had a section like that originally, but people pointed out that it is already covered in this sticky.

In the next update, could you make it so in the project editor if you place a comment behind a block, it stays behind it? This ruined an april fools thing i did. Thanks

(Swallowed by an evil kumquat who was just taking a walk in the neighborhood of evil kumquats when they saw a garage sale where they bought a plate which they used to eat but they discovered that it leaked and they went to get their money back but the sale was over so they went in the house but the door was locked so they got their key but it didn't fit so they went home to use the key on the right door which was their own door and then they decided to swallow a signature for no reason.)

Possibly add an eraser in vector?
A blending tool in the editor?
Airbrush tool?
Better paint bucket in vector?
A new editor that's the best of both worlds?
The ability to make a bitmap pic smooth when converted to vector?
Quick access palette?
