Whiskers: Scratch 2.0 for Incompatible Devices
The project was still created in Whiskers though!Troll workaround: open the Whiskers project in the offline editor, then share it from thereYes. Does sharing projects made in Whiskers violate the TOS?You may only submit user-generated projects that were created with (1) the Scratch website editor or (2) an unmodified copy of the Scratch editor compiled from the source code described in Section 5.3. You may not upload any projects that were created, by you or by anyone else, with a modified version of the Scratch editor.
Troll workaround: make a Scratch 1.4 project (possibly empty) and edit it in Whiskers, then share it however

http://djdolphin.github.io/Snapin8r2/Probably not, as this is meant to be compatible with Scratch 2, not BYOB. Maybe a generous soul will make a BYOB to Scratch 2 converter somehow, though. Quick question - Does or will this work with BYOB3?
(but that's the other way round) It can't do Snap -> Scratch, though.

Or make a blank 2.0 project with no vector graphics and load it into WhiskersThe project was still created in Whiskers though!Troll workaround: open the Whiskers project in the offline editor, then share it from thereYes. Whiskers: Scratch 2.0 for Incompatible Devices
Again, on my windoze computer, doing that gives me a “Squeak! Select an image file” prompt, which might look scary to new users.Try this as shortcut and see if it works on your WinDoze
It does on mine (and should on all)
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Scratch\Scratch.exe” Whiskers.image
Its always distribution that causes the most grief in any software project
PS
These are my instructions for installing on a Pi

BYOB3 works on all major platforms and in some respects (global custom blocks) is better than Scratch 2 but in others (very tricky to use cloning) its not
But it does work
I've been running it on a Pi for 2 years
This is my installer
https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=62781&p=764158&hilit=byob#p503683
To keep this thread clear for Whiskers - can I suggest talking about BYOB3 elsewhere (i.e https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/87434/)

Thank you for the VERY clear answer. :-) Since none if this made since, as in conflicted with eachother, I tested it myself and found it didnt work :-)
It is another scratch modification, which I learned cannot be used togetherProbably not, as this is meant to be compatible with Scratch 2, not BYOB. Maybe a generous soul will make a BYOB to Scratch 2 converter somehow, though. Quick question - Does or will this work with BYOB3?
I know about that, and that doesnt help. You are confusing BYOB3 with Snap!. BYOB3 is a scratch modification, and Snap! is a scratch alternative.http://djdolphin.github.io/Snapin8r2/Probably not, as this is meant to be compatible with Scratch 2, not BYOB. First, I could not get it to work with Whiskers. Please show me how. Secondly, as this is about Whiskers compatibility, so I can post here about it. Also, the fourm link is broken. :-) BYOB3 works on all major platforms and in some respects (global custom blocks) is better than Scratch 2 but in others (very tricky to use cloning) its not

I think you are asking if Whiskers will load BYOB files - it will not - they are incompatible

Wow :-) Did you even fully read my above post? I did NOT ask that, and I asked if these 2 scratch mods can be used together, which I found out cant. Also, the fourm link is broken. :-)Try this

I (and I think others) are trying to work out what you mean by working together.
Do you simply mean running at the same time?
I'm simply trying to help find out your problem and try and fix it if possible

Sorry. Like I said above, I already solved my problem. And yes, I mean running it at the same time. However, as they both change the scratch image, I found out it is impossible.

I might add the functionality to convert BYOB to Whiskers. It might be interesting. Sorry. Like I said above, I already solved my problem. And yes, I mean running it at the same time. However, as they both change the scratch image, I found out it is impossible.
AND UPDATE: I have been hard at work trying to fix a recursive blocks bug.
2nd UPDATE: I have big plans for the future. It will not only require a new *.image file, but a bit more! And it will be ~10x faster!

EDIT: Just a small update on development, Whiskers will be going into Gamma after the next release. I have been hard at work and have a surprise ready, that involves the romanian word for “not”, and the albanian word “gërvishtje”. Hopefully you have a good idea of what I am doing after you translate this
