My name is Daniel and I like to play video games on my computer. But throughout my lifetime, I have never ever come across a game that made me laugh. Last night, I found that game. It wasn't Deadpool though. It was neither Sam and Max Hit The Road either (but it came from that period). Speaking of periods (no), I present: DINO ISLAND!!! (by period I meant jurassic period)

It's a 3D town-building game in a similar style to SimCity, but SimCity does it better in 2.5D. Also, you don't build towns, but instead, you build Jurassic Parks. However the computer calls them dino parks. Which just isnt the same. I began the game with a hefty load time, which made me smirk. I knew I was in for whatever came out of 2002's butt - so I was probably in for a terrible surprise. However - I just got a mediocre game, with some funny gags (Bulldog style).

I was given an island and an informative (yet tedious) tutorial, which taught me the basics. I then started building. You build exhibits (not the rapper/voice actor) to put dinosuars in, who then breed. After I put some shops and enclosures down - I opened the zoo. This is what I came across… Some punks started coming out of the boat. NOTHING BUT punks. I mean, what did I do wrong? Is it my punishment for cheating money in (yes i did)? Nope. It's because I put in a T-Rex without reading the stats.

Apparently, each dinosaur attracts a certain group of people, and mine just so happened to attract hooligans. They then wrecked the dump and left. I pretty much laughed as I went to see what else I could do. I noticed you could modify dinos by hitting them with a gamma ray. A GAMMA RAY? A GAMMA RAY?? A GAMMA RAY??? 100/10 BEST GAME EVER MADE ME ROFL

In all seriousness, any modern game would've just called this a modification, but I liked the neat humourous touches they added to it, just like Bulldog. Moving on to the music, it's just mediocre, repetitive stuff - nothing special. It was very compatible with my PC - though the loading times are a problem. Then again, this is a game from 2002. There's no story so that goes out of the bin, and the graphics look like nothing compared to Halo (which came out at around the same time).
