Can you try Google translator? I always get agitated by projects that are in different language.

Thanks for the offer, but the foreign languages forums are here so native speakers of real languages can have Scratch in their own language. Novelty languages such as pig latin and backwards writing aren't useful to this goal, so please don't suggest them. ih i detnaw ot pleh htiw netalgip. i ma yrev doog htiw ti. i kniht taht ew dluohs ekam a oiduts rof ti.

If you don't speak any language other than English fluently, you can always help others with their code, or welcome new members and help them find their way around

I think this is the most relevant thread, so here goes: Someone commented on my project in Russian, and I'd like to be able to respond back (in Russian would be nice) but I don't speak it, so I need some help. Their comment was: Я что тут одна из России? If someone who is fluent could translate this for me, that would be wonderful, thanks!

I don't speak Russian, but Google translate says “I perceived that the one from Russia” - so I guess this person thought that you are Russian.
For help with the reply, best open a new thread in the Russian forum - I expect that somebody there can help you https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/27/

Regarding the localization of hint images, the following page:
http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/How_to_Translate_Scratch
suggests that the block images are created by hand.
Isn't there a way to automatically output them in their localized version directly form the software ? It seems like something an engineer could manage easily (I am not such a person) since the software already does generate them for display in the interface…

We should have 2 for-fun languages (or more) one being “Pirate English” and the other being “Hsilgne”. Hsilgne is backwards English, and Pirate English is just English with ‘pirate’ terms. “Explore” would be “Scan te' Sea”, Discuss “Talk with yer' pirates”, Notifications would be “Dire notes” maybe. As for Hsilgne, it's a bit more complicated than you might think. “Scratch is the best, most awesome service ever!” in Hsilgne would be “Reve ecivres emosewa tsom, tseb eht si Scratch!”
That is a hilarious idea!
Good, though!

You need to be fluent in both languages before you can translate.
You might find these language learning studios interesting though:

Maybe to learn languages we should find the studios that support that sort of thing?
