You find the post that you want to quote and you copy it with Ctrl C. Then, you open a topic and you click on the speech bubble and a piece of text saying “quote” or something. You paste what you have copied in between the two pieces of text saying “quote”.

That would be a great idea! Its a pretty common suggestion that goes on from time to time.

If a topic has already been resolved and no one has been posting on it for a long time, its considered dead. (most likely, people would have forgotten that it even existed) There wouldn't be any point in bumping up a thread that no one is watching anymore.
