I think this is being experimented in Scratch Lab, so I guess this is implemented.

I think something being added in Scratch Lab just means it has been developed but no one knows when or if it will be implemented, but seeing that it has already been developed but not added, supporting or no-supporting this topic can still affect if the Scratch Lab extension will be added.
Although it is in the Scratch Lab, I still support it, because as @-Zyte- said, it could still affect whether it would be added to normal Scratch or not.

Well, to be fair, I don't think that “code” necessarily means “programming language”.

Because that's a bit different from this suggestion, and also that would be kind of ambiguous. How can we have a canvas that also has html on it?

No support because this is too extremely high level to be any specific on what it specifically is supposed to do. The print functions in other programming languages, such as WriteConsoleOutput, assume there is already a character grid canvas to put 8-bit or 16-bit characters in (possibly with colour attributes as well). Scratch has no such character grid, it has a pixel grid instead. There are also extremely high variations on the quality of text renderers that would make it nearly impossible to cross-platform.

Support, but it is possible to re-create it (without many of the features, including boldness and font)

Scratch uses a canvas, you can easily print a text there.

You support or no support a suggestion because of the suggestion, not because they made a supporter list.

It's a pixel canvas, which isn't designed to fit characters like a character grid canvas.

You support or no support a suggestion because of the suggestion, not because they made a supporter list.
But you're not supposed to make a supporter list…
Really? Proof? Even then, it doesn't make the suggestion less bad

I was thinking that Scratch should have a “Print” function:
print [] :: pen
It would work as it does in other languages, printing the input.
There would also be related blocks to support it:
newline :: pen

set print font to [ v] :: pen

set print size to ( v) :: pen

set print colour to [#ff0000] :: pen

set print boldness to ( v) :: pen // I forgot this block. 0 is super light, 100 is super thick.

print [] to x:() y:() :: pen // Suggested by Pot-Of-Gold and Samanyolu

set print [ v] effect to () :: pen
change print [ v] effect by () :: pen // Blocks suggested by Samanyolu

Support, although this is already being worked on in Scratch Lab. But the reason it’s in Scratch Lab, I don’t know it could be from this topic

if i was in aladdin, my first wish would be to have infinite wishes, and use those infinite wishes for infinite wishes on each wish, rince and repeat
