for it to actually happen someone needs to replicate the javascript coding inside and put into github and do more coding for it to actually work in scratch. which not many people can do.

Custom reporters are easy to implement. The real problem is whether the Scratch Team will risk introducing a new feature that might confuse New Scratchers.

I think the cat's out the bag already with custom blocks, so they should go ahead and add it.
